WELCOME TO THE HAWKS WEEKEND BABY!

With three teams in action on Friday night, there’s plenty to get at;

Our Metro 4’s are away at Western Spirit at 7:00pm which is usually a tricky trip, especially on a Friday arvo. Full faith that the boys will be practicing those golf swings though!

Metro 9’s are at home and hoping to return to the Win-MCA 6:30 Friday against Logan Village 🔨🧱👷

Metro 5’s are at Dittmer Fortress at 8:30pm Friday night (also known as beer o’clock) against West End FC; a new team to the Metro competitions after coming across from Q-League, a potential banana skin for the boys.

Metro 3’s are away Saturday arvo at Olympic East FC (also known as Yeronga Eagles) in a battle of the bird! Kickoff is 1pm at Leyshon Park.

Hi all! Weekends recap as follows; lots and lots of golf swings to be seen in the green and gold.

Friday night at home we’ve had a 2-2 draw between Metro 4 Hawks v Centenary, getting back to it after the tough trip away to Olympic in the previous round.

In the second game of our double header at home, our Metro 3 boys sadly went down 3-0 to Southside Eagles, a moment of madness making it 9v11 for a spell and they just couldn’t recoup from that.

Our Metro 5 men went away to Moggill and that glorious hillside bar and brought the 3 points back to the nest with a 3-1 victory to kickstart their season, with their centre half scoring d***s from 35yds and playing predatory striker.

Still waiting on the Metro 9 result but it won’t be far away, fingers crossed the boys got up 💪

Kicking off Round 2 is our Friday night double header at home!

6:30 - We have our Metro 9 boys hoping to build a bit of a winning run going, coming up against Acacia Ridge.

at 8:30, after being rained out Sunday afternoon by that slight little downpour we had, our Metro 5 lads kick off their season against Southside Eagles!

Also on Friday night, making the short trip down Mt Gravatt-Capalaba Rd our Metro 3 men hope to bounce back from that unlucky defeat v Tarragindi against Wishart Eagles at 6:30pm at Eagles Sports Complex.

Rounding it out is the in-form team at the moment, our Metro 4 men with a tough trip to Yeronga on an ideally fine Sunday afternoon at 4:00pm versus Olympic FC.

Lets hope for a lovely weekend of football and a good set of results for Mt Gravatt! 🦅

Welcome to 2023 all! What a start to the season we had last night at Dittmer Park, with a decent crowd watching our new METRO 4's sharing the love and the goals, kicking off against the lot down the hill with a win. ��

Sadly our new METRO 3 boys went down at the hands of Tarragindi, but it wasn’t for the lack of effort as they toiled in a tough, physical battle in the rain against the lot UP the hill.��

Our METRO 9 Men played away at Logan Metro and brought the goodies home with a 3-1 victory, with a special mention for Braedon harnessing his inner cat and jumping between the sticks.��
