Crazy Cavo Roadshow

So setting up this page requires a few little posts here & there to make it “standout” but we prefer to use this as our memory making, adventure page/blog as a family & those who want to follow along are welcome, & those who don’t, that’s ok scroll on……

So we’re the Cavanagh’s, family of 5 plus our old furr baby George (not pictured yet).

Now, before I get into depth about our fam…. Let me set a few things straight, we are by no means “perfect” in any way, shape or form. We have our moments, good & bad. Our kids have their moments good & bad.
Just like every normal family. If anyone ever says that their lives are perfect, their marriage is perfect, kids are perfect, everything they do is perfect…. Well then they are either lying or just full of it or both.
Most of the time I post positive things as I’d prefer to remember the positives over the negatives, but sometimes it is good to show the rawness of life.
And I won’t shy away from speaking honest truth on mental & chronic illness either. If it bothers you then this page might not be for you.
So here it is…..

Since a rough 2025, we decided to make 2026 a new chapter in our lives full of spontaneous moments & new adventures. While homeschooling was for the kids benefit, us adults are also being schooled & learning more with them. Every day, every topic & every single thing we do in ever day life is always a learning curve…. Point being… we are ALWAYS learning, each and every human in this world.
To make our homeschooling adventure even more amazing, we brought our very first hybrid caravan. A home on wheels, Daniels “man cave on wheels”, Kirra’s “sketching studio on wheels”, Frankie’s “kitchen on wheels”, Zoey’s “binge true crime hide out….on wheels” & Hannah’s “Movie star trailer” …… on wheels.
The BEST investment we have ever made as this investment will make the most amazing memories that money can’t buy.
We have a massive 2 month road trip & a 2 week cruise starting in November 2026 as our big test run that we are looking forward to. Can’t even explain the excitement, but the count down is on & good things come to those who wait. 👌🏽
After that, we will be living in our van exploring all things south east QLD till Frankie finishes his traineeship then finish planning our big lap of Australia.

So here’s a bit about us mostly for our future memories sake…….

Frankie, is beautiful kind old soul who is also an apprentice chef, he will be a fully qualified chef before he graduates high school next year 😆 (overly proud parents over here 🙌🏽). He loves fishing, camping, travel, adventures, old school tunes he thinks his parents have never heard of (we grew up on the same ones) & testing our abilities on naming the song & who sings it, movies, film & tv studies & hopefully one day a famous chef & movie star!

Hannah, our miniature ‘Margot Robbie’, our little ‘Toto’ from over the rainbow, our theatre star, our Olaf snowman & our shooting star to one day Hollywood fame. While she may have started high school this year she is setting her sites on making all her dreams come true. She loves the camera & never has a dull moment. With her big heart & sweetest remarks, she’s always putting smiles on faces.

Zoey, a massive kind soul, beautiful middle child, so serious, compassionate & loving, a sporty kid but I swear she cheats at board games 😉. Sometimes the girly personality shows but never afraid to break a nail or get mud on her. Loves adventures, adrenaline & can’t wait to skydive.
A detective in the making, a genius in escape rooms, the true crime enthusiast that will change the world one day sooner than later.

Then there’s Dodgy Dan…… THE MAN… I should say 😉… the s**t-show-supervisor-powder-monkey. The one who makes these dreams happen, the explosives tech, the brains of the family, the man of the house, the one who works hard for the family that he sometimes forgets about himself. The one who drives the wife bonkers most days but fixes that with hugs. The squishy dad bod that makes snuggles amazing. He’s the with the biggest heart, the old rare soul, patient yet hardly cranky…. He’s the one we can’t live without.

& well, Kirra, the mum, the Johnny Depp obsessed, the lioness queen that wears her balls on her chest. Never a dull moment, from blonde ones to dumb ones to the life of the party. So talented in so many ways, the memory maker, the football lover, the making a house into a home, the chef, nurse, teacher, artist, maid, taxi, & too many more to list. The once a powder monkey before chronic health took over. Excellent at blowing things up (old job & literally), the now “fully special” learning how to have a small amount of normal in her life. She wears a brave face every day to mask the pain, one day she walks the next it’s old lady came & a chair with wheels but still chooses to live life instead of caving.

We are so excited to be going down this fun, adventurous rabbit hole of travelling & van life & can’t wait to see where we end up. The future is never foretold & it’s also a blank canvas for you to paint your storey as you go. 🫶🏽
