Shutting down over Christmas?
If your business is considering shutting down during the Christmas–New Year period, it’s time to start checking what your obligations are to your employees.
The award or enterprise agreement that covers your business may have rules about how early you need to notify staff and what should happen during the shut down, like whether you can direct staff to take leave or if they should be paid their normal wages.

Due dates are if you are lodging direct to the ATO. If you lodge via a BAS/TAX agent the dates are extended. Keep you finances and bank recs up to date each month and due dates become easy to meet.
