Futsal is life. What a day.

Seriously, as far as work days goes, today just made my soul full. 8am club meeting, 9am coaching chat, 10am quick gym session... Then some comp planning for kids, FA nationals launch and back to Newy for some social futsal at Sports Parc @ Cooks Hill. 3 games and 50 mins for me. New players, new referees, new leagues, new clubs. So bloody exciting to be in Newy right now.

I've worked at the very top, world cups, champions leagues, pro teams... But building opportunities for the people of NSW is it right now.

This is why I am so keen to see regular, sanctioned, organised futsal competitions for kids. They will thrive in the right environment.

Before I moved to Australia to work in Futsal Development for Northern NSW Football I was head coach of Solomon Kurukuru Futsal and we came to Sydney to play 3 matches with the FutsalRoos as part of our World Cup preparations. This was aired by ABC Sport ahead of the final game.

We achieved a historic draw in the first match (1-1) and narrowly lost games 2 and 3 (3-2 and 5-3).

It was my first time in Australia and it was an incredible experience for the boys to play some high level games thanks to Football Australia , Solomon Islands Football Federation and PacificAus.

I'm so grateful for that year of my life. I did my dream job, worked with some amazing people and came close to qualifying for the World Cup.

I hope the boys go one better and make the 2028 one.
