The Sunflower program has been introduced at The Gabba!🌻
This Invisible Disability Week (19 to 25 October) we’re proud to share that we’re recently joined forces with Hidden Disabilities Sunflower Australia & New Zealand to introduce the Sunflower program to our venue.
The Sunflower is a globally recognised symbol for non-visible disabilities, also known as hidden or invisible disabilities. At The Gabba, patrons can choose to wear a sunflower symbol (lanyards, badges or wristbands), to discreetly identify to venue staff that they have a hidden disability and may need extra support, understanding or time during their visit. Venue staff wearing Sunflower lanyards or pins are available to assist when needed.
We are proud to foster an inclusive culture where all staff, visitors, and athletes feel welcome and respected.

National Police Remembrance Day 💙
Tonight we light up blue in honour of those police officers who have paid the ultimate price and tragically lost their lives in the line of duty.
We also extend our thoughts to those officers who have passed away outside of their service.
We thank the Queensland Police Service for their continued and thankless work to protect our community and keep us safe 💙
