I’ve been quietly building something.
It came from a year of showing up, even when it would’ve been easier not to.
No hype. No perfection.
Just keeping promises to myself, one week at a time.
I’ll share more soon.
This feels important.
Something new is coming.

I’ve sat with this one for a while.
This year changed me, quietly, deeply, and in ways I didn’t expect. It stripped me back, asked me to slow down, and forced me to look at how I actually live, not just how I say I want to live.
What started as a habit experiment became something much bigger. It became about integrity. About energy. About keeping my word to myself when life was messy, uncomfortable, or unpredictable.
I’m calmer than I’ve ever been. More grounded. More connected to my body, my intuition, and the way I want to show up in the world. I’ve shed parts of myself that no longer fit, old reactions, old patterns, old ways of being.
This feels like the end of an era.
Not because the work is done, but because the old version of me is.
This blog is my reflection. My closing chapter. My way of honouring what this year gave me, the good, the bad, and the uncomfortable lessons that changed everything.
Thank you to everyone who read, followed along, checked in, or quietly watched from the sidelines. This year mattered more than you know.
I’ll share what comes next soon.
For now, this one felt important to say.
One promise.
One week.
Kept.

The Year That Changed Everything - Katrina G - Health and Habit Strategist
Shedding Skin WOW, WHAT A YEAR. I honestly don’t recognise the version of me who started it, and I mean that in the best possible way. At the beginning of the year, I said I wanted to be different by the end. I didn’t know how. I just knew something had to change. I […]

52 weeks. One decision. Kept.
When I started this year, I didn’t know exactly where it would lead. I just knew I wanted to be different by the end of it, not perfect, not polished, just more honest and more grounded.
What began as a habit experiment became something much deeper.
It became about integrity.
About keeping my word.
Especially when it was uncomfortable.
Especially when no one was watching.
This year didn’t pause for the process. Life kept happening, stress, change, letting go, starting again. Some habits fell away. The ones that mattered most stayed.
That taught me everything I needed to know.
Consistency isn’t about motivation.
It’s about choice.
One promise. One week at a time.
If this year has shown me anything, it’s that keeping promises changes you. And when you start keeping promises to yourself, everything else begins to shift.
More soon.
For now, I’m grateful, for the lessons, the growth, and for those who’ve walked alongside me.
One promise.
One week.
Kept.
I will be doing a few lives this week with lessons learned and exciting new things ahead.

Final Reflections – Choices, Lessons & Promise Kept As we near the end of the year, I can’t quite believe how much life has changed, not just externally, but internally, in ways I didn’t expect. At the start of the year, I said I wanted to be different by the end of it. I didn’t […]

This morning, I woke up to some heavy news from Bondi. It’s the kind of reminder that life is fragile, that ordinary days are a gift we often take for granted.
This week, I want to pause and talk about something we don’t always make time for: appreciation. For the people around us, the conversations we have, the moments we live, and the opportunities we get, every single day.
Because yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery… and today is a gift.

Life doesn't move in straight lines, and I tell you over the last few weeks, my life has been very curvy.
If you have been following my journey, you might have noticed I have slipped off the radar for a while. Not because the commitment faded, but because life asked me to practice the very habits I have been building.
Moving house after nearly two decades, letting go of stuff, closing chapters and new ones await. It all demands space. Physical , emotional and mental. Instead of pushing through and "doing" I decided to listen, to pause, to enjoy and to live the work I have been building this year.
In the pause came clarity, lessons and a whole new level of awareness. This weeks habit isn't a tick on the list it's a reflection of what happens when you stop forcing life to fit and start allowing it to flow.

Week 50 - Lessons Learned - Katrina G - Health and Habit Strategist
Rewriting Default Settings This year has stretched me, softened me, challenged me, and grown me in ways I honestly didn’t expect. When I first started this “52 habits in 52 weeks” experiment, I knew it would shift things.. but I didn’t realise just how much it would shape who I am becomin...

I’m a little weird, a little crazy, and it’s time to shake up my workday 💥
Inspired by Atomic Habits, I am stepping out of my comfort zone and into a new daily ritual: 10 push ups before lunch. Yep, right in the middle of our tight knit office. No gym. No walk. Just me, the floor, and a little bit of courage.
I have no idea how my team will react… but I’m doing it anyway. Because growth doesn’t happen in comfort. It happens in the weird, wild, wonderful moments.

Week 43 - A Tiny Habit with Big Impact - Katrina G - Health and Habit Strategist
The Power of 10 Push Ups: A Tiny Habit with Big Impact When I read Atomic Habits last year, something shifted. James Clear’s simple yet profound approach to habit formation sparked the idea for my year long experiment. One example that stuck with me was his commitment to doing just 10 push-u...

I found myself asking the question over and over whilst spring cleaning this weekend.
"Why did I buy that?"
This weeks blog I am calling it The Year for Less. It's about mindfulness not money.

Picking the low-hanging fruit is the easy part.
The real challenge? Setting the big goals, preparing for them, and actually following through, while still balancing everything life throws at you.
This is where the rubber meets the road. 🚀
This week on the blog I’m talking about 100% accountability, not just planning, but doing. The small habits are locked in, now it’s time to tackle the big ones that truly move the needle.

Week 36 - 100% Accountability - Katrina G - Health and Habit Strategist
Week 36 – 100% Accountability Last week, I shared that I would plan out my days, weeks, months, and even my year. I will be honest, it hasn’t been easy. Creating a plan that’s sustainable, something I can stick to even when life throws unexpected curve balls, takes a lot of thought. How do I [...

This week, I realised just how often multitasking creeps into my daily life. Talking on the Bluetooth while driving, cooking while chatting to friends, or trying to do a dozen things at once. My AHA moment? Doing two things at once doesn’t save time, it often creates more chaos.
That's where this week will flow into the greater good of what I am trying to achieve this year. I think its the missing link and the one that will propel me to the next level. I hope🥹
It will take a bit over the next week, but I am actually a bit excited to play with it

Week 35 - Slowing Down to Move Forward: The Power of Planning - Katrina G - Health and Habit Strategist
Wow, I tell you, what a week it’s been. Not multitasking is proving to be far more challenging than I ever imagined. It’s so deeply ingrained in me, more than I ever realised. I think for many women, it’s almost instinctive, built into us by our mothers, grandmothers, and every woman we have g...

For most of my career, multitasking was non-negotiable. In the kitchen, it was survival: prepping, serving, training, ordering, all at the same time. That rhythm of chaos became second nature to me.
But here’s the truth: I still multitask constantly, and it’s catching up with me. I have started to see how much stress it creates and how often it leaves things half-finished.
This week, I’m exploring how to actually remove multitasking from my life. Focus, structure, boundaries, these are the things I’m experimenting with now. But after decades of juggling, it won’t happen overnight.

Week 34 - Multi Tasking - Katrina G - Health and Habit Strategist
As a chef, the first thing you’re taught is how to do many things at once. It’s part of kitchen life. The more you have on the go, the more efficient you become, or at least that’s what you’re led to believe. Kitchens run on adrenaline. It’s fast, it’s furious, and it’s relentless. You...
