General information
Purchasing BRFC.DEN Member PackagesThe key ingredients to becoming a dedicated and accepted Westender is firstly to ensure that if possible you contribute to the Brisbane Roar coffers by purchasing yourself a Brisbane Roar FC Members Pack which includes a dedicated seat in the Den. **If this is not possible due to other committments then establishing a good relationship with a member is important. How Den Membership Makes You An Orange Army SoldierAs a subgroup of the Orange Army it is important to respect being seated in the Den during the Home Matches, follow the overall direction that the inner depths of the Dens voices and where they take you and always remember that your actions reflect on the Westenders->Orange Army Supporters->Brisbane Roar FC Den Home Stand Organisers->Brisbane Roar FC->The Footballing Community Of Queensland->Footballing Community Of Australia. Always remember that Football, or as the media call it "Soccer", is an easy target for elements of the media which unfortunately write praise of other football codes only to call our code "soft", "sissy" and yet find US AS SUPPORTERS, "hooligans" and "thugs". If you in any way are lead into RACIST, VIOLENT or OVERLY EXCESSIVE INTOXICATION you will be held up and be removed from any event you are trying to partake in, escorted out of a match, and in some cases can face heavy fines and even imprisonment of which you must accept as being your own doing and not that of the Supporters Group. So How Is A Westender Different To An Orange Army Soldier What establishes us as a subelement though is the unique ALTERNATIVE placement of our residences, workplaces and social gathering places. Whilst almost all of the Orange Army merge together and turn Caxton Street and Spring Hill (Notably The Inner Northern Suburbia) into a sea of Orange, most of South Brisbane miss the excitement of game day in the Football Code.Rugby and AFL hold a great presence pre matches in their respective games and Brisbane knows when the Lions or the Broncos are playing. But in West End many are unaware when the Orange are taking on the rest of Australias Footballing powerhouses. So as a Westender it is important to ensure you wear ORANGE, as much ORANGE as is possible and be ready to be vocal, sing and make your presence felt. The aim here is to join and as you did help find more of us South Brisbanites who would like to enjoy matchday PREGAME gatherings/celebrations etc on the opposite end of the River to the other members of the Orange Army/Den. As they have Caxton Street in the suburb of Paddington on the North Side of Brisbane we have Browning/Boundary Street in the suburb of West End on the South Side of Brisbane.Once Again, Respect Football, Respect Roar, Respect Life, Respect Peoples Rights To Have Altering Views From Yours. Finally, to have come this far, always remember OUR AIM IS TO BRING THE COLOR ORANGE TO THE FOREFRONT OF BRISBANE AND QUEENSLANDS FOOTBALLING COLORS. OUR AIM IS TO FILL THE SEATS OF SUNCORP FOR FOOTBALL (NOT RUGBY AND AFL) AND WE KNOW THAT OUR SUPPORT IS STRONGER, MORE FESTIVE, LOUDER, LIBERATED AND PASSIONATE. WE DONT JUST CLAP AND SCREAM, WE SING AND CHANT AND MAKE BRISBANE LAUGH AND DANCE!!!!
