A1 Australia

Congratulations to Wildflow Tigers on victory at the Rogue Raid 24 hour on the weekend. They win the free entry to the A1 World Cup Final, Malaysia Quest Expedition in April 2027.

In a gripping contest they managed to beat the hot favourites Alpine Avengers by 30 points with a final score of 2520. Tiger Griffins took out third place.
In the end it was Wildflow strategy and decision making that was the difference. It’s great to see Adventure races that still place heavy emphasis on the skill of Navigation and strategy. Congrats to RD Liam St Pierre, who is without doubt one of the best in the world.

With the completion of the Red Wings, ⁩ South America World Cup over the weekend, we now look ahead to three upcoming races in Australia, USA and Colombia.
Two teams; Katana (Japan, Niseko Expedition) and Triaventura Durazno (Uruguay, Red Wings Expedition), have is already qualified for free entry to the World Cup Final, Malaysia Quest Expedition in April 2027. The third qualifyer will be decided at the Australian championships, Rogue Raid in on 2/3 May. It is a unique race, referred to as an adventuregaine, where each leg is a rogaine, so teams accumulate points and choose how many check points they collect depending on their ability. It means the top team who are attempting to clear the course are constantly passing other teams. It makes for a great atmosphere.

On the same weekend is the continuation of the USA series with Blue Ridge AR. Then race 2 of the Colombia series, Chami S2, takes place on 24 May.

Race 3 of the series, Kaikoura Adventure Race, has got to be the biggest mixed gender Adventure race in the world. Over 800 athletes, half being juniors still at school, will line up at the event.
