Supporting individuals to move beyond survival mode, reconnect with themselves, and build emotional resilience — one gentle, grounded step at a time. 🌿

I am a Trauma-Informed Counsellor and Coach. I’ve been working with women over 40 that have experienced trauma, mental health challenges, and learning difficulties. I am the founder of Building Emotional Resilience, helping women develop the essential skills to learn how to regulate their emotions and navigate life’s challenges, through self-awareness and self-compassion to build and maintain healthy relationships.

But Life goes on So true… 🌿 It’s strange how we allow someone else’s words to shake the way we see ourselves. Sometimes one comment can become louder than all the quiet evidence of who we truly are...Learning to come back to our own voice… our own truth… and our own inner knowing is such an important part of our healing. 🌿

Sweatpants & Coffee There is something so deeply healing about creating spaces of peace within ourselves… 🌿In a world that constantly pulls at our attention, asking us to rush, to achieve, and stay connected to the noise, learning to gently return to ourselves can feel like an act of self-protection. 🌿

We were never meant to live in constant *awareness* of so many problems and worries. We are more connected than any other humans in history, but we are also more anxious and agitated. It’s good to give yourself rest from the noise and replenish. ♥️ ~ Nanea

The Butterfly Project So true… 🌿There is such wisdom in learning to listen to your body before it begins to scream through exhaustion or overwhelm. We live in a world were pushing through and overriding our needs is often the norm… rather than slowing down, changing pace, and giving ourselves permission to move gently through the season we’re in. Only you truly know the weight you’ve been carrying and the energy it takes to get through the day. Learning to work with our body instead of against it can create so much more compassion, calmness, and connection within ourselves. 💛

🌿 Restore & Reconnect 🌿

Gentle Practices for Everyday Regulation

✨ Imagine if you could create small moments throughout your day to pause…
to breathe…
to reconnect with yourself…
and gently recharge your mind and body… ✨

In this busy world, it’s so easy to stay stuck in “go mode” constantly thinking, doing, caring for others, and pushing through exhaustion. Over time, this can leave our nervous system feeling overwhelmed, flat, disconnected, or emotionally drained.

Join me this month for a gentle self-soothing session focused on simple self-care practices to help regulate the nervous system and bring you back to yourself. 🌿💛

Together we’ll explore:
💛 Physical self-care through gentle movement
💛 Emotional self-care through safe emotional release
💛 Mental self-care through grounding and calming the mind
💛 Spiritual self-care through warmth, stillness, and renewal

Because sometimes the smallest moments of care can create the biggest shifts. 💛

📅 Friday, 29th May at 7.30pm (Brisbane, Australia time)
💛 Cost: $5 for this one-hour session
✨ These sessions are recorded, so if you’re unable to attend live, you’ll still have access to the replay.

Tiny Buddha There is so much truth in this. So often, what we’re really longing for can’t be found through a screen, but through the presence and connection of another. The warmth of another human, and the laughter that softens the heaviness, on one's heart and mind.. These moments gently remind us that we are here, alive, connected, and part of something bigger than the noise and busyness of the world… 🌿💛

Cottage Whimsy I love this… sometimes the most meaningful moments are found in the quiet simplicity of everyday life, that bring such a sense of peace, presence, and gratitude. It’s the little things that gently nourish the soul. ❤️☕🌄

The older I get, the more I realize some of the sweetest moments in life are the quiet little ones we almost overlook… A peaceful sunrise, birds singing outside the window, coffee in a favorite mug, soft light coming through the house… none of it has to be fancy to feel meaningful. Sometimes the most beautiful parts of life are simply found in slowing down long enough to notice them. 🤍

But Life goes on So true. 🌿 Life is rarely a straight, smooth road. There are twists, unexpected turns, steep climbs, and moments where we feel lost or unsure of where we’re heading. But within those ups and downs come growth, wisdom, resilience, and the moments that shape who we become.

Positive Energy+ Yes....When someone is mean and cruel, it’s often not about you, it’s about something within them that has not yet healed. Don’t let someone else’s behaviour steer you back into self-doubt or make you second-guess yourself. Keep moving forward on your own path and allow them to walk theirs.

We all have different lessons to learn, and no one’s journey is the same. Stay true to yourself, protect your peace, and continue walking your path with kindness and self-respect. 🌿

Daily Motivation So beautifully said. 🕊️ Sometimes it’s only with time and reflection that we begin to see how every chapter, even the painful ones, shaped us into who we are today. Some people brought comfort, others brought lessons, but each experience leaves behind wisdom, strength, and a deeper understanding of ourselves. 💛

Life has been teaching me
a lot…
and one of them
is gratitude.

For every phase
that shaped me.
For the people who stayed…
and even for those who left.

Some experiences brought peace.
Others brought growth.

But all of them
left something meaningful
along the way.

Today, I understand
that even the difficult days
had a purpose
in who I am becoming.

Gratitude doesn’t change the past…
but it helps the heart
look at everything that happened
in a different way.

Power of Positivity Yes, so much of life begins on the other side of fear. Fear often shows up when we are standing at the edge of change. It can make us question ourselves, doubt our path, and retreat back into what feels familiar… even when what’s familiar is no longer for us. Every time you choose to face something difficult instead of running from it, you remind yourself that you are stronger, more capable, and more resilient than fear would have you believe. 💪💛
