GOOD FOR FOOTY 2026 IS NOW LIVE!🎆

We’re excited to launch our fifth season of the Toyota Good for Footy Raffle — one of the club’s most important fundraising initiatives.

Thanks to the incredible support of our Panthers community, we’ve raised over $90,000 in recent years, helping deliver:

· The Back Oval electronic scoreboard

· New oval surface and drainage works

· Main oval drainage improvements

This year, we’re aiming to improve the Panthers training and playing facilities at Murarrie State School, including the development of new player changerooms.

After raising more than $20,000 last year, we’re aiming to go again — and with over 1,300 players across the club, we know we can do it. We are currently ranked among the top five fundraising clubs nationally out of more than 800 participating clubs.

🎯 Our Target

If every registered player sells just 4 tickets, we will smash our fundraising goal.

🏆 Team Challenge

Every Panthers team will once again compete in our internal fundraising challenge to see which team can sell the most tickets and win great rewards.

For every $5 ticket sold:

· $1 goes directly back to your team for end-of-season functions and activities

· $4 goes toward the Murarrie changeroom project

We’ll also have:

· Six x $100 team prizes for the top fundraising teams

· Over $290,000 worth of prizes nationally, including 3 cars to be won, generously provided by Toyota, plus 43 other fantastic prizes

Each team will receive its own unique raffle code and QR link so sales can be tracked easily. You can find all the team links here:
https://www.panthersafc.com.au/post/good-for-footy-2026-team-links

📅 Key Dates

· Raffle launches: Monday 1 June 2026
· Team Challenge closes: Sunday 30 August 2026
· National raffle closes: 21 September 2026
· Prize draw: 24 September 2026

If you have any questions, please contact: [email protected]

We thank our incredible Panther community for their active involvement in Good for Footy! This wouldn't be possible without all the hardworking volunteers, parents, coaches and team managers🙌❤️🤍🖤

It is with great sadness that we advise of the unexpected passing of past MAFC player Mitchell Howe.

Mitchell was an outstanding contributor during the club’s successful era in the early 1990s and leaves behind a remarkable football legacy.
His achievements included:
• 1994 Grogan Medallist
• 1991 Joe Grant Medalist (Best on Ground in the Grand Final)
• Triple premiership player – 1991, 1993 & 1994
• Played 135 QAFL games for the Panthers
• Named among the Courier Mail’s Top 40 QAFL players of the last 40 years

Mitchell was regarded as a rock of the Morningside Panthers during a dominant period for the club and was widely respected by teammates, opponents and supporters alike.

At this stage no further details are known. More information will be provided when available.
Our thoughts are with Mitchell’s family, friends and former teammates during this difficult time.
