In our fifth match against Raven FC, we experienced a challenging game both on the scoreboard and on the field. One of our players sustained a serious Achilles injury during a contest near the sideline.

Despite this setback, our dedication to the game remains strong. Football is about more than just the final score; it reflects the passion, commitment, and spirit that drive all players forward.

This weekend, it’s a battle of the winless 😂. Both teams are still chasing their first 3 points of the season, and with both sides desperate to break the deadlock, this clash between SDFC and Druck Gunners FC is shaping up to be an absolute cracker.

Our injury list is still longer than a Woolies grocery receipt. Some of our stars are off to Adelaide for their routine servicing.

But despite the setbacks, we are heading into this clash with grit, heart and a whole lot of stubborn determination. The full squad may still be a dream but the spirit is sky high.

This week, we bid farewell to our midfield engine, number 8 - JIGME. The boldest, strongest, and oldest of the squad (a youthful 50).

Thank you for your tireless effort and commitment on the pitch, you gave it everything you had. We will miss those fearless slide tackles especially that flying ninja moment caught on camera. One thing is for sure the grass was never safe.
