Dance today asks artists to be more versatile than ever before.
In the final instalment of our interview with Aaron Shaw he reflects on the importance of versatility in training, and how every skill, discipline, and experience becomes part of a dancer’s creative toolkit.
From ballet to performance, storytelling to collaboration, every layer contributes to the artist a dancer becomes.
What does it mean to train a dancer for today’s industry?
In Part Two of our interview with Aaron Shaw he shares his thoughts on how dance training is evolving, beyond technique alone, to nurture adaptable, creative and well-rounded artists prepared for the demands of the modern stage.
In the first instalment of our interview with guest teacher, international dance artist Aaron Shaw, he reflects on the opportunities available to young dancers in Australia and why creating stronger pathways for emerging artists matters more than ever.
From training to professional careers, this conversation explores the importance of supporting homegrown talent and helping the next generation of dancers thrive.
