2025 WA STATE SERIES ROUND 7 - BUNBURY

The last round of the WA State Series was in Bunbury for the Coastal Classic competing in both TAG Light and KA Senior - with the KA Senior championship on the line.

TAG 125 Light
Q: P8
H1: P8 -> P7
H2: P7 -> DNF
H3: P12 -> P10
F: P10 -> P7

A weekend of progression in the TAG had us find decent pace and was able to set down some pretty quick lap times, finishing 4th fastest in the final.

KA Senior
Q: P1
H1: P1 -> P1🟣
H2: P1 -> P1🟣
H3: P1 -> P2🟣
F: P2 -> P3 🟣

In KA we were strong from the very start, showing speed and consistency all weekend. Heat 3 didn't quite go our way off the line, which made the race tougher than expected, but we were still pleased with the pace and performance.

We also managed to win the State Series in KA Senior after 7 long rounds, a result that paid off for all the hard work this season.

Massive thank you to Kip for the great engine and help all year, Scotty for the help all year and the KF Race Team for helping constantly, making things happen with getting both karts on track, I am very grateful.

2025 WA STATE TITLES

We were in Wundowie for the 2025 WA State Titles racing TAG 125 Light and KA Senior Championship with 21 and 27 entries respectively

TAG 125 Light

Q: P17
H1: P17 -> P11 (Nosecone penalty)
H2: P13 -> P11
H3: P10 -> P15
F: P13 -> P4 (Nosecone penalty)

KA Senior

Q: P8
H1: P8 -> DNF
H2: P27 -> P13
H3: P20 -> P3 (Nosecone Penalty)
F: P13 -> P2

A really difficult weekend after a massive roll over in Heat 1 in the KA but we managed to keep it on the road after that and pass a lot of karts. Struggled in the grip with the kart but on Sunday managed to carve my way through to a podium after starting last for Heat 2, something I am extremely proud of.

Massive thank you to Scotty, without you none of this would be possible. Kip for all the help and the mega engine, and the rest of the KF Team for all the support and help after the flip in getting the kart ready for the next race. Massive shout out also to Lochy, well done on your first title buddy, superstar drive.

I am also very grateful to all officials and volunteers who helped me with my crash, and everyone who checked in, made sure I was ok or gave me words of inspiration. The karting community truly is special.

Next up City of Perth Titles in Cockburn at the end of October

πŸ‘‘2025 KING OF THE HILL πŸ‘‘

The sixth round of the 2025 WA State Series was in Hurricane Go Kart Club for the King of the Hill. Racing in an over-subscribed KA Senior class with 35 entries and TAG Light with 20 entries, it was a very busy weekend with the weather making things interesting.

KA Senior
Qualifying – P1/35 (Group A)
Heat 2 (Group A vs C) – P1 -> P1
Heat 3 (Group A vs B) – P1 -> P3
Final – P2 -> P3

TAG Light
Qualifying – P14
Heat 1 – P14 -> P10
Heat 2 – P10 -> P11
Heat 3 – P11 -> P2
Final – P2 -> P20 -> P12

Good results in KA to take the pole in the split qualifying format and a podium in the end was a good finish to the weekend.

After an awesome drive through the field in TAG Light to P2 in the prefinal, getting taken out in the final whilst fighting for a podium was a tough pill to swallow, but there were still positives.

Big thank you to Kip and Scott for all the help this weekend and the killer engine and the KF Race Team as always for all the help and support.

Now we enter the final push before the WA State Titles back in Wundowie at the end of September.

🏁 2025 DASH 🏁

We travelled to the Eastern Goldfields Kart Club on the weekend in Kalgoorlie for Round 5 of the WA State Series running both KA Senior and TAG 125 Light hoping to build off the strong round in Esperance.

KA SENIOR
Qualifying: P2
Heat 1: P2 -> P4
Heat 2: P2 -> P3
Heat 3: P4 -> P2
Final: P3 -> P1

TAG 125 LIGHT
Qualifying: P9
Heat 1: P9 -> P7
Heat 2: P9 -> P7
Heat 3: P7 -> DNF
Final: P10 -> P7

A tough weekend in both classes was topped off by an amazing final in the KA to win by 0.067 in a really tight finish.

An unfortunate mechanical failure in the TAG pre-final hurt our final starting position but a good drive back to 7th was a positive way to end the weekend.

A massive thank you to Kip Foster for all the help, to have been my mentor for 6 years and share the podium together was really special, and Scott Foster for all the help as well. Thank you also to the KF Race Team for all their support throughout the weekend.

A few club days before we go again for Round 6 at the King of the Hill in Wundowie in August.

Racing at Geraldton for Round 2 of the WA State Series in both KA Senior and TAG 125 Light presented unique challenges due to the weekend's new format. Final: P3 -> P2

Sunday
Qualifying: P5
Heat 1: P5 -> P3

🏁 Carnival of Karts 🏁

What a weekend! Racing in two classes under the hot sun was a true challenge. Despite some struggles, we had a fantastic time!

KA
Qualifying: P7
Heat 1: P6
Heat 2: P4
Heat 3: P5
Final: P3 πŸ₯‰

TAG Light
Qualifying: P7
Heat 1: P7
Heat 2: P7
Heat 3: P9
Final: P19

Unfortunately, our TAG debut ended with two flat tires early in the final, but we managed to limp home. On the bright side, we secured a podium finish in KA! πŸŽ‰

A huge shoutout to Ethan for being my right hand all weekend, and to Kip Foster, Anthony Higgs, and the KF Team for all their support. πŸ™

Now, looking forward to the next race! πŸ‘ŒπŸ’ͺ

Qualifying: P3
Heat 1: P3 -> P1

Heat 3: P1 -> P1

A great weekend with really strong pace and an amazing way to get our first major senior win, and to walk away with the official KA Senior lap record at Cockburn International Kartway was a massive bonus.

Massive thank you to Kip Foster for the amazing motor and help over all the years to get me to where I am today and to continue to help me grow, Anthony Higgs for all the kart help and support, it really means a lot and the KF Race Team, constantly supporting me and assisting.
