Div 1 played MCBC at home and unfortunately lost 47 to 72.

The loss doesn't reflect how hard we played.

Two rinks only lost by a few shots,

Div 3 played MCBC at home and had a win. 73 to 54.

Note : Due to Pennants being played at our Club on Saturday there will be no social bowls.

Results from the Weipa Shield 2026

Twelve teams competed in the Ladies Weipa Shield from 22nd -24th May at Brothers Edmonton Bowls Club.

We had teams from Weipa and Thursday Island competing with ladies from eight local clubs plus two from Edmonton.

Winners were Edmonton No. Two team and Runner-up was Edge Hill.

Thank you to workers, umpires, ground staff, it was a wonderful three days played in perfect conditions.

Both Games Directors have advised that the first round of the Mixed Pairs HAS to be played between the 24th May and 7th June.

It is up to the players to get together and arrange to play the games.
Once you have arranged a date, please advise Games Director Garry Moule to organise the rinks to be set up and cards etc.
It is also PLAY / SUB / FORFEIT.
