The club would like to thank Lexi for her year as Club Captain. She will be handing over the reigns to Arabella as she goes into year 12 and focuses on her studies. But she will be sticking around as vice.

Congratulations to all our state swimmers and their hard work and commitment throughout the season 🤩

What a cracking Christmas Club Night ! we had it all! State shirt presentations, new captains announced, pizza, Santa visit, relays and a whole lot fun.

Great to see so many parts of the Marlin Coast community at the night. We had swimmers, parents, coaches, LTS instructors, lifeguards and LTS kids!

Thank you to Jay Molina our Club Night Coordinator and Head Coach Troy for organising the night ! Thank you to the commitee for organising the pizza !

What an incredible couple days with QAS Biomech Ryan Hodierne and Swimming Queensland’s Brant Best !

Thursday afternoon Ryan and Brant had one on one session with our national kids working on their technique and skills.

Then Saturday FNQ Regional Swimming Association ran clinics led by Ryan and Brant with both regional National and State squads attending two separate sessions.

The crew was run through a presentation in which Ryan showed all the work he does with Australian Olympians. Including how they collect and analysis data of Australia’s best swimmers and their performances at major meets. He then explained how he helps the Australian swimmers work and develop the skills they want to improve on.

Then the FNQ squads jumped in the water and had Ryan take them through a range of drills and activities that helped improve their turns and streamlines. Brant then took them through a set that tested what they had learnt in which they self relflect on their efforts and ex*****on.
