Hot, humid, and epic racing in Da Nang from Josh 🔥
Josh is one seriously hard-working athlete, juggling a FIFO roster that means training just 6 days a fortnight, and he didn’t miss a single opportunity to prepare himself as best he could through a purposeful build.
He kicked things off with a very fast start, locking in a PB swim and PB bike. Unfortunately, the heat wasn’t playing nice when it came time to chase a PB run, but with the run being his strongest leg, Josh stayed consistent and in control, even when things started to get a little wobbly.
This was smart, composed racing from Josh, and a performance he can be incredibly proud of.
Oh, and did we mention he still snatched a 20-minute PB in brutal conditions?

90km 🚴🏼♂️ 2:38:24
21.1km 🏃🏻➡️ 2:10:10

A memorable race, and one Josh says he has unfinished business with.
Watch out, Da Nang 70.3 2027 👀

You can’t grow on empty. ⚡️
If you want to race strong, recover well, and keep growing as an athlete, fuelling needs to be part of the training plan, not an afterthought.
For many of us who’ve been in endurance sport for a long time, bringing this kind of preparation to the forefront is a big shift. But this is what real athlete growth looks like.
It’s the athlete texting through their fuelling plan before tomorrow’s brick session showing us she is ready (proud of you Gabby 😉)
It’s practising race nutrition before race day.
It’s learning what works, what doesn’t, and building confidence along the way.
Practise it.
Trust it.
Use it on race day.
This must be a cheeky sign that .cairns is just around the corner 🤭

Wearing their team colours with pride as they clock their kms, both with their sights set on the Gold Coast Half, and a sneaky half at Cairns 70.3 for Kirsten.
Great work, Bruce and Kirsten 🔥
custom kits, always looking the goods.

Cairns 50 Ultra 10km this year for Kirsten was a perfect reflection of playing the long game.
2024 → 1:09:16
2025 → 1:04:06
2026 → 1:03:21
Kirsten is no stranger to endurance sport, but what stands out most is her patience and consistency, even through obstacles. After some well-earned time off, she came into 2026 ready to take on a fresh set of running goals.
Leading into this race, it wasn’t perfect prep, it was rebuilding, mostly walk/run, with non-stop running and a couple of quality sessions only reintroduced about 4 weeks out.
And yet… progress. This is what years of consistency build. A strong foundation that lets you step back in, rebuild, and still move forward.

No expectations, just a goal to run 10km non-stop and enjoy it. And that’s exactly what Noelle did.
She was absolutely glowing every time she ran past. After volunteering the day before, she showed up as a first-timer at the and delivered something really special. Not only did run a negative split, with her second 5km almost 2.5 minutes faster than the first, she also dropped her fastest km, smiling right to the finish line.
Quiet, consistent work behind the scenes, all while keeping the joy in it, such a breath of fresh air. That’s what it’s all about, right? 💫

After training in one of the most humid and warm FNQ summers, to racing in icy Hobart conditions, Claire showed up and delivered a seriously gutsy performance, running a beautifully consistent 2:09:33 half marathon.
This block is a little different. To stay injury-free, Claire leaned into the bike, with 50–60% of her prep coming from riding and 2–3 runs per week. She adapted, trusted the process, and built an incredibly strong engine, proof that there’s more than one way to get it done.

🏅 9th AG (out of 36)
And the best kind of girls' trip to top it off. All smiles post-race, but it was a seriously tough day out in freezing conditions.
Claire also jumped back in to support her close friend Dee in the marathon, adding a 10km “cool down” to make it 31km for the day 👏🏽
A tough, smart, and seriously impressive effort.
Congratulations Claire. One to be proud of.

When a runner is disappointed the swim gets cancelled… You know they’re officially a triathlete.
After the initial disappointment of the Husky Tri swim being cancelled, Cass flipped the mindset and saw it as an opportunity to really test herself on the bike over 60km and back it up with a 10km run.
Showing huge progress and growing confidence, she gave it absolutely everything, sneaking into the top 10 in her age group in 03:19:21.
Now it’s time to lock in an 8-week block as she builds toward her debut 70.3 in Cairns 🔥

Third time's a charm ☘️
After two tough years at 30km, Chloe came back stronger, smarter, and more prepared than ever. A full year of rebuilding, learning, and trusting the process, and it showed.
Racing on tired legs just one week after T100, she leaned into a positive mindset, ran to feel, and stayed in control the whole way. Most importantly… she absolutely nailed her fueling and hydration.
2:41:13 for 30km
Top 10 female finish 🔥
Proof that patience, consistency, and belief always pay off. So proud of this one
