If you want to experience more happiness, that feeling of being lighter, spend time each day connecting with the natural world.
When you go for a walk make sure to look up at the sky and the birds and the trees and drink it all in. This will help to calm your nervous system and have you feeling lighter in no time.
It's also why my counselling sessions are walk and talk. Clients find it's easier to talk about their challenges while walking and they don't get as overwhelmed by emotion.

Walking my favourite dog - while she chases ducks in the sunshine!
This is the way I start my week as I get to walk her on Monday morning first thing.
She is not my dog, she belongs to a friend, but I have been walking her for a while now and I think of her as kind of mine too.
She is such a beautiful dog who is now 10years old. She loves to roll in the grass when we walk because she knows it makes me laugh!
For me walking this beautiful dog is one of my favourite kinds of self care - it just makes me feel so positive for the day ahead.
