What does a tall person do when they see an aeroplane coming?? You can ask our trainer Richard Lock …at 191cm we’re sure he’ll tell you! But first, a bit about him.

In 2014 Rich moved to Christchurch NZ to do a year working abroad. While away, he was granted the opportunity fulfill a goal and complete his personal training course. Killing two birds with one stone, he returned to Australia as a qualified PT and hasn’t looked back since!

Rich has a strong belief in personal health and sport is a passion he relishes. Like all of us here at RealFITT, he considers being paid for doing what he loves as a blessing.

Rich specialises in functional fitness and believes in focusing on the skills and fitness needed to make everyday life easier and more fulfilling. He also enjoys being able to train and program for specific events that people have targeted.

The best part of the job for Rich, “seeing client’s reactions to beating PB's or achieving a goal. The excitement and joy they have makes you feel a sense of accomplishment”.

Rich has enjoyed playing first grade basketball (insert tall person joke here) and has won a second-grade premiership in rugby union. He also recently competed in a CrossFit competition and has been contemplating throwing on his boots again for some social rugby later this year.

All tall person jokes aside, Rich is (ironically) afraid of heights!! Rich may be the trainer for you or you may just like to talk sports. Either way, have a chat with him when you see him in the gym!
