🔵🟡 COT NIGHT 3 RECAP 🔵🟡

Was just not meant to be for us at Chariots Of Thunder this year.

Cav had a better night finishing 6th in both heats which saw him starting out of 17th for the feature.

We felt like we’d finally found the right setup and were finding some good speed along that top edge.

Unfortunately, this was short lived in the feature. Cav suddenly lost the corner along the top and despite his best effort ended up coming down and causing a collision with 2 other cars.

The last thing we ever want to do is take out other competitors causing them damage and/or injury. Thankfully both Cav and the other drivers were alright… the cars on the other hand are going to need some work!

With the extensive damage on the car we will sadly be calling it a season and not competing at anymore events in 2026.

We are looking forward to the off season to take a well earned break and reset for 2027. Keep an eye on our socials for updates (because a managers job never rests).

🔵🟡 COT NIGHT 2 RECAP 🔵🟡

A better night out on the track for DBR but still trying to find some kind of result.

The slick track is causing Cav a bit of a headache when it comes to finding a line he can really drive.

Playing around with some different things last night saw the car improve and meant Cav was keeping up with the pack but still trailing in the back.

Heat 2 we just got it wrong, resulting in a DNF but Cav came back better in B Main and snatched the final spot in the feature!

Progress over perfection! So we’re excited to see what Chariots of Thunder night 3 will bring 😏

B Main - 4th —> 4th (taking out final transfer spot)

🔵🟡 COT NIGHT 1 RECAP 🔵🟡

Not the night we’d hoped for with Cav struggling to make the car stick or get the power needed to keep up with the pack!

The car sustained some minor damage after a slight collision in Heat 2 so we are beyond proud that he was able to get it back on track for the B Main.

Having a bit better luck in the B Main but still not quiet on the pace missing out on the feature but that’s racing!

A few minor adjustments and some damage control today to hopefully get after it tonight for night two of Chariots Of Thunder

Throughout this week while prepping the car around the house, Cav has had some visitors from our neighbourhood dropping in curious about who we are and what we do.

We love meeting and talking to you all so please come say hi!

This morning Cav received a very special present from one of our neighbours.

Thank you Indi, we love our Lucky Duck and we are sure it will bring Cav an extra edge this weekend! 💛

Cav is hard at work doing some last minute preps and maintenance on the car for Chariots of Thunder!

After a couple successful meets in Katherine Cav is keen to get back to Northline Speedway and see how he stacks up against the larger pack that will be racing this weekend.

Make sure to get your tickets, it’s guaranteed to be a good weekend of racing!

LIVE 26/27 NATIONAL RANKINGS WINGLESS SPRINTS

After wins to Harrison Turnbull at Katherine, and Jett Downs in WA, we have been able to stretch the current season rankings to a top ten.

Turnbull won the Blue night feature and Downs got his first win and second podium of the year so far. Rod Snellin is only just behind Downs, field sizing a challenge for the drivers in BROOME and surroundings.

CAVEAT REMINDER - As we still have people ‘Not’ understanding live rankings, we remind everybody the new season started July 1, if your parent, partner, child, mate, has not raced since July 1, they won’t have been considered for rankings. Rankings will change through the season, some drivers just have a head start.

🏁🔵Thank you Katherine Motorsports Club for having us at the Blue Night Wingless 50 Lapper🟡🏁

Another fantastic night of racing at Cav’s home track. Thanks to the whole team at Katherine Motorsports Club for your efforts!

Last night was a bit of a test run for a couple new bits and pieces for DBR including towing the new trailer and what a beauty she is.

Cav started off hot in heat 1 before slowing it down a bit in heat 2 after a bobble but he came home strong in the Dash preparing for the feature!

Cav struggled with a rubbered down track and it’s something he needs to continue to work on if he wants to keep the results coming.

Special thanks to Cav’s younger brother Brock for his efforts helping us out in the pits last night!

🔵🟡 Time to hit the road 🔵🟡

Cav is all set to start making his way down to Katherine Speedway for the Blue Night Wingless 50 Lapper event tonight!

The first real test for the new trailer and some other bits and pieces.

Make sure to come see us at the track to get your very own DBR sticker.

We also have another little surprise but that’s our little secret for now 🙊

Rhylee won’t be around tonight as she is away for work so make sure if you see Cav you come say hi!

ITS RACE WEEK BABY!

DBR will be down at Katherine Motorsports Club this Saturday 29th August for the Blue Night Wingless 50 Lapper.
