School holidays are better with a mate 🥊

Next week, all of our Kids & Teens members can bring a friend along to train FREE.

No experience needed. No pressure to be good at it. Just come in, learn something new, have a laugh and train together.

Sometimes trying something new is a whole lot easier when you’ve got someone you already know beside you.

So if your child has a friend they’ve been wanting to bring along, this is their chance.

Kids & Teens. Friends Train Free next week only.

Send us a message and we’ll help you organise their session 🤝

Four weeks ago, all of this was brand new.

New stance, new movements, new combinations, and trying to make your body do things it definitely wasn’t used to yet 😂

Now the kicks are coming in super nicely, the combos are starting to flow, and the post-round showmanship is apparently already well developed.

If you’ve been looking for somewhere to learn something new and feel part of something, come give it a go 🥊

Send us a message and we’ll help you get started.

The rules were simple.

Hold your plank.
One person runs around the circle.
Get back to your spot.
Next person goes.

nobody said you had to run!

One of our kids decided a casual stroll was more his pace while everyone else held on for dear life 😂

Kids classes are full of little moments like this, working together, encouraging each other, getting stronger and having a laugh at the same time.

If you’re looking for a place where your child can build confidence, find their people and feel comfortable being themselves, send us a message or hit the link in bio 🥊

High level Muay Thai content only 🎥😂

Joel absolutely nailing the pads…

…until the camera comes out.

A few stuffed combos, a lot of laughing, followed by the very professional:

“Get the camera away” 😂

Training’s meant to be fun. Not every round needs to look serious 🥊

Sometimes Muay Thai looks like sharp technique, focus and discipline.

Sometimes it looks like spinning in circles, trying to shadow box while dizzy, falling over and absolutely losing it 😂

Learning balance, coordination, body awareness and movement — while having a heap of fun doing it.

Kids being kids, with a little Muay Thai mixed in 🥊

If your kid wants to give Muay Thai a go, come down for a trial class and see how they enjoy it.

The torch… or maybe the curse 💩 has officially been passed on 😂

bryce.scott_____ represented the gym in our first ever interclub yesterday at YOUNG BULLS GYM

Many of you have heard the story of my first ever interclub. I got absolutely smashed by gastro beforehand and somehow still fought, with a nappy underneath my Thai shorts, just in case a well-placed teep unleashed the squirts into the ring.

Well… many years later, apparently it was Bryce’s turn.

He got hit with gastro leading into the fight and had dropped around 5kg from his normal weight.

But in his words, nothing had evacuated for a while, so “f**k it”. if he needed to spew, he’d spew, and he wanted to do it anyway 😅

I was sitting right on the edge between pulling the fight and allowing him to go ahead, knowing from my own experience that sometimes it can still be done.

We decided to go ahead.

The result wasn’t the one the mind so desperately wishes for, and naturally that’s the thing it wants to grab onto afterwards.

But I’ve been thinking a lot lately about the difference between wanting to be successful and recognising when you are being successful.

If success only exists at the end, winning the fight, getting the decision, achieving the goal... then we hand our entire sense of success over to an outcome we can’t completely control.

Instead, ask:

How do I know when I’m being successful?

For Bryce, I’d say:

When he consistently shows up to training.

When he listens and learns.

When his technique improves.

When his fitness improves.

When he commits to a fight camp.

When he does the work even when nobody is watching.

When adversity turns up and he still finds the courage to step through the ropes and test himself.

Yesterday’s decision doesn’t erase any of that.

The result is one moment.

The person you’re becoming through hundreds of repeated actions carries far more weight.

That, to me, is being successful.

Proud of you, Bryce!!!

And congratulations on inheriting the Nowhere Muay Thai gastro blessing 💩😂

Not every kick has the same effect.

Where the kick lands matters.

Kick higher on the body and you’re attacking their balance, pushing their upper body over their base and making it harder for them to stay balanced.

Bring that same kick lower, below their midsection, and the effect changes.

Instead of toppling them, you’re folding their body and grounding their weight.

Adjust your kick to what your opponent is doing!

Whether you're learning Muay Thai for the first time or training to fight, understanding the why behind what you're doing is just as important as learning the technique itself.

Beginners to fighters, we teach Muay Thai for every level.

Want to give it a go? Send us a message and come down for a session 👊

Progress with one of our teens! 🥊

He started with us late last year, having never done any martial arts before.

Glad to say Muay Thai has really clicked for him and he’s absolutely loving it.

He’s consistent, wants to come in, wants to improve and is always keen to learn.

And that’s really what we want to see.

It’s not just about getting better at Muay Thai. It’s about giving young people something they can work at, improve at and feel proud of themselves for.

Watching them slowly realise what they’re capable of is a pretty cool thing.

Building capable, confident and resilient young people through Muay Thai 👊

If you’ve been thinking about getting your teen into martial arts, come down and give Muay Thai a go.

Send us a message to get started, or share this with someone whose teen might love it too 😊

Another little timetable update 🥊

Our 6am All Levels classes are now running Monday, Wednesday & Friday!

📅 Monday • Wednesday • Friday
🕕 6:00am – 7:00am

A simple way to get your training done before the day gets started.

One of the biggest reasons people struggle to stay consistent with exercise is because it eventually becomes something they have to do instead of something they actually look forward to.

We believe training should be different.

It should challenge you, teach you something new every session, help you get fitter, and surround you with people who genuinely want to see you improve.

Whether you're just getting started or you've been training for years, our All Levels classes are open to everyone.

Come learn a skill, make real progress, and be part of a community that makes showing up easy.

See you bright and early 👊
