Micro Mikki and Poisen Point were so gallant finishing third and fourth respectively in the $1 million Evergreen Turf Country Championships Final on Saturday.

Barriers win races, and while the winner Chidiac was extremely impressive, the Brett Robb pair gained no fortune with the barrier draw and no doubt both could’ve been closer with a more favorable gate.

Micro Mikki, with little other option, sat three wide the trip in unfavorable conditions and Poisen Point produced the best last 600m and 200m sectionals for the race running on from the rear of the field.

Congratulations to Brett and Georgie Cavanough on Chidiac’s tremendous win and to Brett Robb and his owners on a great result!
