NSW Allschools Champions!!!!

Massive congratulations to the Dubbo College Open Girls Rugby League team who have won the NSW Allschools Schoolsgirls Trophy. This coming after the team defeated Kincumber High 38-6 in the final played at Penrith.

The Dubbo College team leading 18-0 at half time where their dominant defence set the tone for the match.

The result a testimony to all the 16 Dubbo girls who took part in the game and they all made invaluable contributions. A great team performance resulting a commanding win over the NSW city champions. The efforts of late call ups Mya Clisby, Zoe Shanks, Kaliaah West, Grace Ray and Emily Fairman particularly pleasing as each stepped up to allow the team to have depth and great versatility.

The official player the of the match awarded by the NRL officials was shared between Amelia Sullivan and Sienna Sullivan. Both playing key roles for the team and no one could argue with decision to split the award. Sienna scoring the first five tries for Dubbo while Amelia was a powerhouse in defence, go forward and leadership of the team. It certainly has been an amazing five days for our "wonder twins".

The coaches also singled out Millah Hutchins, who was a standout in defence and setting up the attack and Sophie McAneney, who gave great direction to the team and elusiveness in attack.

The team received great motivation from principal Mr Braithwaite making an early morning dash from Dubbo to cheer the team from the sidelines. At the end of the match he provided a box of Kristy Crème donuts as a reward for the girls and it was greatly appreciated.

Well done to all the girls in the team and coaches. You have been simply amazing representatives of the Dubbo College and demonstrated all the attributes we wish our students to show in the wider community. In a very noteworthy achievement this is the third year in a row Dubbo College girls have won the NSW Allschools Schoolgirls Trophy.

Best of luck to the Dubbo College open girls rugby league team who will take part in the NSW Allschools Schoolgirls Trophy final at St Mary's tomorrow against Kincumber High( (Sydney North). The game to be live streamed on BAR sports at 12.00pm

The Dubbo College girls winning the Dubbo divisional day, Western finals day and Southen/Northern/ACT finals days to make this stage. Kincumber High are the NSW metroplitan champions, so the match sees the NSW City best taking on the NSW Country best for the overall title.

The entire Dubbo College community will be cheering you on..You have all been fantastic representatives and we have no doubt you will do us all proud in the final.

Amazing Stuff Amelia and Sienna!!

The Sullivan twins, Sienna and Amelia, have had a fantastic year in sport at both school and community level.But in a truly unique accomplishment they played in three open women grand finals in two days. To be still eligible for u18 competition and play such cruical roles in each grand final is worthy of special praise.

Firstly on Saturday they played for the Orange City who took on the Dubbo Kangaroos in the Central West women's grand final played in Dubbo. The team going down 17-39 despite the twins best performances.

Then less then 24 hours later they travelled to Forbes for the grand finals in the the Peter MacDonald Premiership to play in finals for open women league tag and then open women's rugby league. Coming away with a 18-10 win over Forbes in league tag and a 30-10 win over Mudgee in the rugby league. The twins scoring multiple tries in each win as well as Sienna slotting over numerous conversions.

Last week the girls were also selected in the Penrith Panthers U19 Tarsha Gale squad for 2026. Sienna also graded with the Penrith Panthers open women's NSW Cup squad for 2026.

The twins will also be part of the Dubbo College open girls rugby league team who will contest the final of the NSW Allschools Schoolgirls Trophy Final on this Wednesday 9/9/26 against Kincumber High at St Mary's stadium.

Wow what a week!! Huge congratulations Sienna and Amelia. Your achievements are simply amazing!!

Great Stuff Aston!!

Huge shout out to former Dubbo College alumni Aston Warwick who made his playing debut in the NRL for the Sydney Roosters against South Sydney Rabbitohs on Friday night. Aston showing he was right at home at this level with an enthusiastic and professional display.

It was fantastic to see supporters from his family, schooling days at St Laurence's, St John's College, Dubbo College and Dubbo South Raiders Junior Rugby League and Dubbo Macquarie Raiders all share the experience with Aston on the night.

Well done Aston. It is amazing and so inspiring for all at Dubbo College to see our students chase their dreams and achieve them through hard work, dedication and determination. Good luck with your future I'm sure your many, many supporters will look forward to seeing you keep chasing your goals..

Well Done Charlie!!

Congratulations to Dubbo College year 7 student Charlie Brown who has been achieving some great results in the sport of golf.

He has been selected in the WRAS( Western Region Academy Of Sport) golf squad for 2026/2027 where he will receive high level coaching and performance evaluation. He also took out the Dubbo Monthly Medal - A grade comp (118 competitors) recently.

He will also been competing in the Jack Newton Shield Monday & Tuesday this week. This is a school competition for students with golf handicaps in Years 7, 8 & 9 at Twin Creeks Golf Course, Sydney.

Charlie's talents are not only confined to the golf course as he is also a member of Dubbo College open boys hockey and cricket teams. The cricket team to play Wellington in Wellington on 15/10/26 in round 2 of the CHS competition.

Well done Charlie and good luck with the season ahead.

Western CHS Girls Cricket

Congratulations to Dubbo College year 10 student Keeley Macfarlane on her selection in the Western CHS girls cricket team for 2026. It is a very noteworthy achievement it will be her third year in the team.

Keeley will now travel to Tamworth from 27/10/26 till 30/10/26 for the NSW CHS championships. Good luck Keeley.
