Lake Mac Triathlon awarded Australian Championship status
More than 1,000 athletes are expected to descend upon the Hunter this weekend for one of the region’s most popular sporting events from H Events.
After a hugely-successful edition in 2025, the Lake Macquarie Triathlon has established itself back on the national calendar with over 25% growth in participant figures from last year.
And, as an added bonus, locally-based organisers and supporters have been rewarded with Australian Championship status for the Super Sprint distance, to be raced as part of the program on Sunday 8 March.

Bikes can be racked on event day only, and later races may access transition while earlier waves are underway.
Races start separately and start times may vary, so be sure to line up in your allocated wave to avoid timing issues. Transition is for competitors only (Juniors may have one carer), and all athletes must follow marshal directions, especially at designated crossings.
Please collect your bike by 11:00am (Olympic/Standard) or 11:30am (Sprint/Super Sprint) or it will be moved to Registration.
