We got a video this week of out stable star Magnatear, currently spelling after a strong prep, culminating in the Muswellbrook Cup win that qualifies him for this years $3m Big Dance race on Cup day at Royal Randwick. Really pleasing to see him looking so well. Rest up big fella, we’ve got a massive spring ahead!

The Blacktype team and a number of our owners were on track yesterday as two of our stable ran at the Randwick Kensington midweek meeting.
La Nina trained by and ridden by was first up from a spell in race 6. Definitely a run she needed and she’s still a work in progress. She’ll now push on in her preparation and we expect to see performances improve as she gets more racing under her belt.
Wrathful, trained by and ridden by .g06 ran a mighty race, flying home against the pattern of the day to nab third on the line. From last at the turn it was a fantastic run. He’ll step up in distance now and is right in the sweet spot of his prep so stay tuned for more!

Blacktype owns a share in this amazing filly by Trapeze Artist. Crimson Wings has had a great prep so far, after a small setback she’ll be targeted at the Brisbane winter carnival.
Our team went to visit her at stable recently, as you can see she looks fantastic and we’re excited to see what she can produce across the Brisbane carnival.
This week, the BTB team spent time with Will Freedman, trainer of our stable star Magnatear, ahead of his next race this Sunday: the Listed National Sprint over 1400m on Canberra’s Black Opal Stakes day card, with jockey Ash Morgan booked to ride.
Will shares his thoughts on Magnatear’s prep so far, as well as the plan post Sunday’s race. As you can see, Magnatear is well, in great form, and we expect him to run boldly: We all look forward to cheering him on Sunday!

Winners on Cup Day - what a wonderful day with so many great friends. What racing is all about. Much love to for riding a treat and for the impecable job they've done conditioning him. for picking him as a yearling.
