Thank you to everyone for your terrific participation in the T20 GALA TOURNAMENT.

The first T10 round started off with St Matthew’s Baulkham Hills Uniting setting the Catholic Cricket Club 67 to win which CCC chased down with 3 overs remaining.

Meanwhile Sydney Malayaly Sports Team set 81 for Sydney Malayaly Youth who came up just short.

Down on Russell Pk, Western Sydney Anglican St Andrew’s also set 67 for Brother’s Rugby who chased it down with 2 overs spare.

After lunch, the T10 semi-finals saw Catholic Cricket Club 2/85 defeat Malayaly Youth 4/81 to qualify for the Grand Final whilst Brother’s Rugby needed 32 off the final two overs.

Incredibly Brother’s Rugby managed to hit the 32 runs and so very narrowly defeated the Malayaly Sports team to claim the final spot in the GF.

In the Russell Park play off, St Matthew’s defeated Western Sydney Anglican St Andrew’s by 20 runs in a terrific match-off between the teams.

And the Grand Final saw Brother’s Rugby set a competitive total of 108 which Catholic Cricket Club chased down with 8 wickets to spare including Varun Perera scoring 45 off 20 balls and Matthew McCreadie scoring 31 off 30.

Our sincere thanks to the more than 70 players who participated as well as to the 6 umpires for their great dedication and enthusiasm throughout the day.
