A call rang out, the salvo of a desperate man, a request for a shot at redemption. "1 v 1 me Leslie, 1v1!" The opportunity to humiliate too tasty to pass up, Leslie's comrades were called off and the battle of McKeaig and Leslie began.
The puck slid across the court as if silk on skin, the click of plastic on wood, repetitive and soothing. Leslie's smile was apparent to all as his opponent led himself toward certain embarrassment but the spirit of a downtrodden man is a powerful force to reckon with.
A drag to the left, a bump to the right, Leslie tending as no other man can but a small gap appeared between his skates, only a moment but a moment is all that was needed. The biscuit flew through and found its home deep in the embrace of two milk cartons.
Leslie defeated, Mounties empowered.

Two years ago at Hockeyfest 1.0 atop MYRE Rooftop in Freo a dream was formed. That dream to play at a moderately competitive level against the gods of SRHL was forged by a simple phrase uttered by an equally simple man. This phrase would change the course of time for these three for these young men and bind them together from now until the end of days.

On a side note, shout out to GMLA for encourageing us to play and being a super nice bunch of dudes two years ago.

Great game today at the slab with Greenmount Doom as we welcomed Erin Taylor to the fold!

Awesome game as both teams traded goals throughout the first two thirds with the Mounties squeezing a few more past in the last to take the game.

Thanks to Doom for a cracking game, was great to finally have a game!

Today saw the biggest upset since the famed miracle on ice in the 80's. The Mounties squared up against the Moco and with true grit and hard work squeezed out a win, 12-11. We may have been helped by facing a team weakened by alcohol abuse but we also faced our team troubles, non the less today's game was a fine one. Long live the Moose, Long live the Mounties.
