Dancing Dhevas

Beautiful people, 💛

A little reminder that we’re dancing THIS SATURDAY : Ecstatic Dance Experience with DJ Baba Ulli! Expect a tribal flavour, some funk, rhythms that build and evolve, and an ending that gives you space to slow down, land and rest. A journey not to be missed!

Also a reminder for Thursday regulars there is NO DANCE THIS THURSDAY as Theva Indrasenan is stepping away from the teaching decks for a few days to dance with our East Coast community, nourish his own practice and gather some fresh inspiration.✨ He will be back in time to take you out for Sunset Groove - Conscious Dance at the beach on Thursday 29th.

✨ ONE LAST MOVED ✨
Eight years. More than 250 classes. Countless tracks, movements, discoveries, connections and moments of being wonderfully, unapologetically ALIVE.

And now, the time has come to say goodbye to MOVED as we know it.

This Thursday, we gather for our LAST INDOOR MOVED. ❤️‍🔥
Over the years, we’ve explored the Open Floor movement resources, the many dimensions of embodiment, and our wild hungers. We’ve moved through the messy, the tender, the playful and the profound. We’ve met ourselves and one another on the dance floor, again and again.

Now, as one chapter closes, another is waiting to be born. But before we turn the page, let's give this one the ending it deserves.

Inspired by Endings & Beginnings, this special MOVED finale will weave together dance, ceremony and celebration.

Whether you've been dancing with MOVED for years or have been curious to join us, this is your invitation. No experience needed. Just bring your body, your curiosity and your willingness to be moved.

We'll take a short pause after Thursday before returning to our beloved beach dances, beginning with Sunset Groove on October 29. And who knows what new expressions of MOVED might emerge in the future…

💃🏽🕺🏼 See you on the dance floor!

Sing/chant your hearts out before dancing them in!
A special evening of ecstatic Kirtan and ecstatic dance. Our live musicians lead us into call and response chanting harnessing the collective power of harmonising to lift out spirits. This transitions into ecstatic dancing allowing us to raise the energy in the room and celebrate life with love and devotion.
We seal the evening with cake, chai and fruit.
Come chant, dance and eat!

Beautiful people,

We’re gearing up for our Spirit - Ecstatic Dance & Kirtan event this coming Saturday, 10 October! 🤩✨

For catering purposes, we ask you to book your spot sooner rather than later, so we have a good idea of numbers.

There will be chai, cake and delicious sweet fruit to enjoy and share. 💛

We’re looking forward to sharing this special event with YOU!

Love,
the Dancing Dhevas & SPIRIT team x

A little spring reminder 🌱

If you’ve been thinking about joining us for Deep Spring Dance ~ A Seasonal Immersion today is the last day to book at the early bird price.

Spring is already stirring around us — and perhaps in us too. This conscious dance immersion will be a chance to slow down enough to notice what is beginning to move, shake off a little winter stillness, and follow whatever wants to emerge through the body.

We’ll dance, explore, play, pause and rest, with soulful soundscapes, creative exploration and quiet reflection woven through the afternoon.

A little seasonal mini-retreat to reconnect with movement, imagination and the aliveness of spring. 🌿

Deep Spring Dance ~ A Seasonal Immersion
with Open Floor teachers Patricia Roux & Megan Riley
🌱 Sunday 1 November 2:30-6pm North Fremantle Community Hall

This week at MOVED Conscious Dance, we’re playing with rhythm and flow as gateways to ecstatic states.

There’s something powerful about finding a rhythm and allowing your body to follow it. When we synchronise ourselves with a rhythmic pulse and with the people around us something begins to happen.

We move from me to we. The boundaries soften. The room starts to breathe together. We become part of something larger than ourselves. This phenomenon is known as Collective Effervescence, that electric sense of connection and aliveness that can arise when people move, celebrate or experience something together.

You don’t have to figure everything out.
Sometimes you just have to find the rhythm… and let yourself move.

Come move with us. 🌿 EveryBody welcome!
