🌸 𝙎𝙥𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙉𝙚𝙩𝙗𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝙎𝙩𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙨 𝙏𝙤𝙢𝙤𝙧𝙧𝙤𝙬! 🌸

Before you dust off your netball shoes and grab your bibs, here's a friendly reminder of a few things to take care of BEFORE you arrive at the courts.

✅ Jewellery must be removed. This includes earrings, rings, necklaces, bracelets and watches. A reminder that earrings CANNOT be taped and must be removed before taking the court.
Wedding rings and medical bracelets maybe worn however must be taped.

✅ Check those fingernails! Please make sure your nails are cut short and smooth before arriving. Long or sharp nails can cause injuries, so save yourself the last minute nail trim on the sidelines! Gloves are not permitted unless a current medical certificate has been provided.

✅ Respect our umpires and officials. If you're asked to remove jewellery or trim your nails, please do so respectfully. Our umpires and officials are there to keep everyone safe and ensure the rules are followed. They're not making the rules, just doing their job, so please be kind!

A little preparation before leaving home makes life easier for everyone and helps keep our games running on time.

Most importantly, Spring Netball is about getting back on court, having fun, catching up with friends and enjoying our great game!

𝙎𝙋𝙍𝙄𝙉𝙂 𝙉𝙀𝙏𝘽𝘼𝙇𝙇 𝙄𝙎 𝙃𝙀𝙍𝙀!
What a stunning day to kick off our Spring Competition! It's wonderful to see everyone back on court after a few weeks off.

𝗘-𝗦𝗖𝗢𝗥𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗜𝗦 𝗕𝗔𝗖𝗞.
Just like our Winter Competition, we'll once again be using E-Scoring through Netball HQ for all Spring Competition games.

A quick reminder for all Team Managers:
✅ Make sure you are registered and allocated to your team before your game.
✅ Ensure you have the latest version of Netball HQ installed on your phone.
✅ Check that you can access your team well before the game.

Remember: The 𝙃𝙊𝙈𝙀 team is responsible for scoring each week.

A little preparation before game time will help keep everything running smoothly!

MWNA is calling for nominations from interested and suitably qualified umpires who would like the opportunity to represent Manly Warringah Netball Association as a 2027 Representative Umpire.

They did it again!
Congratulations ladies on a wonderful game. It was a pleasure to get to watch you play with such style.

Wakehurst has now won the Presidents Cup 11 out of the last 12 years.
Whoo Hoo! Some of the girls then backed up for the Metro League Grand Final Yesterday.
What amazing athletes these players are.

𝗖𝗢𝗔𝗖𝗛𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗧𝗛𝗥𝗢𝗨𝗚𝗛 𝗙𝗜𝗡𝗔𝗟𝗦

Finals bring excitement, nerves and a little extra pressure for players and coaches.

As coaches, one of the best things we can give our players this weekend is calm, positive leadership.
💙 Encourage, don’t discourage. Players will make mistakes. Help them reset and focus on the next ball.
💙 Stay calm under pressure. Your players will take their cues from you. A calm coach helps create a calm team.
💙 Keep instructions simple. When nerves kick in, clear and positive messages work best.
💙 Lead with positive body language. Keep a smile on your face, stay composed and use encouraging gestures. Your players will often mirror the energy you bring to the sideline.
💙 Manage the moment. If things aren't going to plan, take a breath, regroup and remind your players of what they can control.
💙 Celebrate effort. A great intercept, strong drive, good sportsmanship or simply refusing to give up deserves recognition.

Most importantly, remember that while everyone wants to win, how we coach matters too.
Be the voice on the sideline that builds confidence, settles nerves and reminds players why they love the game.

Good luck to all our coaches this weekend. Encourage, support and enjoy the finals experience with your team.

Our teams are hitting the courts for FINALS this weekend, and we’d love to see plenty of Wakehurst blue on the sidelines! 🙌

Come down, make some noise and get behind our players as they give it everything out on court.

To all our players, coaches, managers, umpires and supporters, enjoy the moment, play hard and have fun. We’re incredibly proud to have so many Wakehurst teams still competing for a place in the Grand Finals next week!

Make sure the Netball HQ app is updated to the latest version before you arrive at the courts.

Once updated, it doesn’t hurt to log out and log back in to make sure everything is refreshed and ready to go.

Please don’t wait until game time to discover there’s a problem!

If you’re having any issues accessing your team or live scoring, visit the Control Room well and truly BEFORE your game starts so we have time to help.
