Coming home from a full dayās work, flopping down on the couchā¦and noticing that washing is still laying around like the lucky sleeping cat;
there are cobwebs hanging from the ceiling like you are the Addams family;
youāve forgotten to do the groceries š„ and your kids are starving and letting you know about it? ššš
But youāve still got more to do; and itās not over until that lady singsā¦or until youāve done
šdinner,
šš½ bath,
š bed for the kids, AND prepped for tomorrowās lunches, work needs and possibly said a quick āhiā to the hubbyā¦!
Cue overwhelm!!
But seriously, itās no wonder we feel we āloseā our identity as mums.
No wonder our own sense of peace & āselfā takes such a big hit that we feel like weāve waved goodbye to ourselves - like we waved at the rubbish truck, then the coffee machine at work, and listened to the Wiggles for years.
š«£I mean, really, who needs us to have a sense of self, anyway?
Doesnāt everyone feel like this?
Women everywhere are feeling the pressure of work, parenting, and giving up our identities so we can become autobots who can do it allā¦
ā¦but what about when it isnāt working?
What about when you realise you let it go too far, and youāve totally lost it, with no idea who you are or how to listen to that inner voice anymore?
Re-discovering your Identity and remembering your own worth is crucial to continuing with grace, not burning out; and holding those healthy boundaries around yourself as you interact with your children and everyone else.

Is stress a big thing in your life? Do you feel like you are dealing with it WELL, or IGNORING IT?
Ignoring it didn't go so well for me.
In fact, not so well for my whole family. I was overreacting, and feeling like my head would spin off my shoulders for a hot minute *year or two* there...
I started coaching after this point, but after hitting burnout a few times along the last few years myself, I have learnt a LOT about stress management.
After coaching parents for the last 5 years on their child's emotional wellbeing, completing my Stress Management Coach qualification and seeing more and more mums for their own wellbeing reasons, I have relaunched focusing on the mums; not (as much) the children.
As a teacher, stress coach and busy mum myself, I'm sharing all I have learnt with my audience, and want to share the support with mums and women, that I desperately needed myself.

Are you aware of your expectations on yourself?
Are you expecting yourself to be perfect, or mentally condemning yourself if you make a mistake?
One thing I know is that high expectations can be very, very helpful for increased success in humans!
(being a teacher, a parent and a coach, teaches you that!)
However, high expectations are only healthy and productive if they are achievable. In other words, itās not very healthy, mentally to strive for things that are completely unachievable for you.
If you have ridiculously high expectations of yourself, you will often set yourself up to fail, but not only that, you have the potential to open yourself up to that negative self talk that can be so damaging to your mental and emotional well-being.
Healthy, challenging and motivating expectations are essential.
Iām a coach who specialises in helping people feel peace and bettering their mental & emotional well-being.

Do you notice your mental patterns?
Imagine you say something you wish you didnāt. Then you get this soul-crushing guilt that sits right in your stomach, souring the taste of your food and your day.
Ugh, we hate that feeling donāt we?
But many of us donāt use this feeling to simply learn and move on. Or apologise and move on.
Many of us end up stuck, feeling guilty and going around and around and around in our mind.
The thing is, we canāt make a change to a mental habits unless we can notice when this is happening.
A practice I get my clients to engage in, involves becoming more aware of a positive and negative thinking habits through the week.
Simply building awareness of how we think is a first step in being able to step away from that guilt and start living in more JOY and FREEDOM - the life we want to live.
