De Grandi Cycle & Sport was established in Geelong in 1929 by George De Grandi. Norm De Grandi then took the company through a growth phase to see the company move from its original Mercer Street headquarters to its present site in Moorabool Street in 1994. Now a third generation company De Grandi Cycle & Sport is operated from its Moorabool Street site by five brothers, Damian, Shane, Peter, Tim and Dominic De Grandi. The company is not only a major sporting and cycle goods retailer but is also the Australian and New Zealand distributor for various leading International brands in the cycling industry. Brands like Pinarello, Wilier, Nimbl and Princeton CarbonWorks - all of which are market leaders in their field. The school supply division also boasts an extensive range of products and services including installation of outdoor equipment and indoor gymnasium products. As well as selling high performance sporting equipment, clothing and footwear De Grandi Cycle & Sport also provides extensive after sales service and repairs. Our staff are passionate about all sports and understand what our customers are experiencing in their chosen sport.

There are bikes designed to go fast. Then there are bikes designed around speed.
Meet the Colnago Y1Rs.

Created as Colnago's pure aero race bike, the Y1Rs has been engineered for the fastest racing, with every detail shaped to reduce drag and maximise efficiency at speed.

Compared with the V4Rs, Colnago has reduced the frontal area by 19%. In wind tunnel testing, the Y1Rs required 20 fewer watts to maintain 50km/h.
But it's not simply about aerodynamics.

The distinctive DEFY seatpost joint has been designed to improve airflow while introducing greater compliance for longer rides, while the frame delivers the responsiveness demanded when the watts go down and the speed goes up.
