💚Volunteer of the week – The Salad Roll Crew💚
This week we’re giving a huge Dragon-sized shout out to our Saturday Senior Home Game Salad Roll Crew:

These ladies are the masterminds behind the famous Bell Park salad rolls that seem to disappear faster than a loose football in the wind! Every home game, supporters line up to get their hands on one, and for good reason.
What many don’t realise is that these salad rolls don’t just magically appear. There is a carefully crafted process behind every single one. Ingredients are selected, prepared and assembled in a very specific order. And trust us... if you try to change that order, the crew will be quick to set you straight!
Bright and early on game days, you’ll find them in the Legends Room, often before most people have had their first coffee, preparing fresh ingredients and working like a well-oiled machine. With military precision and plenty of laughter along the way, they can produce an incredible 70-80 salad rolls in under an hour, ready for hungry Dragons supporters to enjoy throughout the day.
Of course, it’s not all business. Alongside the chopping, spreading and assembling, there’s plenty of chatting, storytelling and laughter. It’s volunteering at its finest, proving that many hands really do make light work.
What makes this group even more special is their deep connection to Bell Park. Between them, they have children currently playing, partners and family members who are past players, club legends and long-time volunteers. Dragon blood truly runs deep, and that passion can be seen in every salad roll they make.
So next time you’re at the canteen enjoying one of these famous creations, take a moment to appreciate the volunteers behind it. You’re not just eating a salad roll, you’re enjoying a little piece of Bell Park community spirit, wrapped in bread and made with plenty of green-and-white pride.
