Let’s make dance accessible for everyone!

📣 WE NEED YOUR SIGNATURE! 💃🩰

For months, the dance community has been saying that while dance is technically included in the Play On! voucher program, in practice many dance studios still can’t accept the vouchers.

That means kids who choose dance can miss out on this support.

Alongside Jonty Bush MP and Jess Pugh MP, we brought together dancers, parents, advocates and dance studio owners to hear directly about these challenges and push for change.

Now, we’re taking the next step.

✍️ We’ve launched a community petition and we need your signature!

This is about equality of access. With families already feeling the pressure of the cost of living, every dollar counts. Families who choose dance should have the same opportunity to access support as families participating in other eligible sports and activities.

We’re calling on the Minister to make sure Play On! vouchers are genuinely accessible to dancers and dance studios.

No classes this weekend. We’ll be back jigging up a storm Saturday 29th August. ☘️

Our dancers and families had a wonderful time at the Mackay WIDA feis a couple weeks ago. All of the dancers performed beautifully. Of course mistakes happened, but fun was had, smiles shone bright, new friendships were made, old friends reconnected and the love of dance brought us all together.

Thank you to Miss Colette and her Claddagh team for all of their hard work in putting on such a great feis year after year!

Thanks to our dance families for being wonderful supporters of your dancers and our studio.

And a huge thanks to the dancers for hyping each other up, practising and warming up together and making sure everyone was confident, happy and supported all day.

Congratulations to everyone on their hard work and now we’re moving our focus to some new choreo and local performances 💙 🍀

We’re packing the hair spray, fake tan and bling… that must mean feis day is coming!!

Back to classes over the weekend and we had awards to present to those who competed at the WIDA Hong Kong digital feis last month.

Congratulations to all of our dancers who danced their hearts out 💙

No dance classes tomorrow as we pause to honour and remember this ANZAC Day. Lest we forget. Back as usual next week.
