The 2026 Club Championships concluded on Sunday afternoon with an exciting Mixed Doubles competition, bringing a fantastic weekend of pickleball to a close.

Another fantastic Sunday morning of pickleball with our Individual Gender Doubles event yesterday! The round robin format with rotating partners made for some exciting matches, close contests and plenty of great teamwork.

Despite the windy conditions, there were plenty of great rallies, close matches and smiles all around. It was wonderful to see such a strong turnout and some outstanding pickleball from everyone on court.

What a fantastic morning of singles competition, with challenging windy conditions making every point count!

Congratulations to our 2026 Singles Club Champions:

🥇 Men's Singles Champion: Bruce Ferguson
🥈 Runner-up: Ian Bates

The men's final went the distance in a thrilling three-set battle:
11–9, 7–11, 11–8

🥇 Women's Singles Champion: Krystle Bower
🥈 Runner-up: Tash

Krystle claimed the title in straight sets:
11–4, 11–4

The competition was incredibly close all morning. Bruce M narrowly missed a place in the men's final by just one point, and Debbie was equally unlucky in the women's event, missing out on the final by the smallest of margins.

Congratulations to everyone who competed.

• Singles (Gender Full Court) – Saturday 8:00am
• Individual Gender Doubles (Round Robin with rotating partners) – Sunday 8:00am
• Mixed Doubles (Fixed Partner – choose your own partner or we'll help find one) – Sunday 1:00pm

Enter one, two or all three events – just make sure you're available for the full duration of each event you nominate.

A huge congratulations to Rhonda and Gary on taking out Gold in the 3.00–3.49 Division at Yeppoon today!

We came 2nd!
Gladstone Pickleball players joined Tannum and Rocky players in a 20 player team to compete for the Battle of the Regions. This was the first year the Battle of the Regions was played at the Yeppoon Pickleball Festival and it was a huge success. Nine teams of 20 players battled it out over the last 2 days with the Yeppoon team taking out the $3000 prize. The Rocky/Gladstone (Tannum) team came 2nd. Other teams included, Goldcoast 1, Goldcoast 2, Sunshine Coast, NSW, Vic/Tas/NZ, North QLD, and Brisbane/Wide bay.
