The St Mary's AFC and Salesian OCAFC announced in November 2007 that they had agreed on merging the two clubs, to be known as St Mary's Salesian Amateur Football Club and to play in the D2 division of the VAFA in the 2008 Season. A disappointing finish to what was such a brilliant season for the men’s reserves.
After promotion last year, they stepped up another level and produced another great season, going deep into the finals once again.
A huge effort from the entire group and a credit to coaches Damien Sutherland and Erwin Leyden for their work throughout the year. Plenty to be proud of.

U19s win by a point and are straight through to the Grand Final, earning the week off.
Reserves get the job done and will face Kew this week in the Preliminary Final.

A massive finals weekend ahead.
Women’s Preliminary Final and U19 Qualifying Final on Saturday, followed by the Reserves Semi Final on Sunday.
Get around all three sides as they push towards a Grand Final.

The Women win their elimination final and are through to the Preliminary Final.
U19s finish on top and head into the Semi Final, while the Reserves are set for an Elimination Final.

Week 17 Results.
The Women get the job done and now turn their attention to finals next weekend.
The Reserves all but cement their spot in finals, while the U19s do the same and put themselves in a great position to lock away a top-two finish and the double chance.
The Thirds finish their season gallantly. A big thank you to BJ McNally for his work coaching the side this year.
The Seniors go down by two points in a tight one against Preston.
