Information regarding junior trials for the 2023/24 season …

Before March 20, 2023:

1. Register online at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/PG9W9BR

2. Pay the applicable trial fees.

$30 – Boys Academy
$30 – Girls Academy
$20 – Under 14 Boys and Under 16 Boys


Trials will be held at Gillespie Sports as follows:

Thursday 30 March
6:00pm - 7:00pm - Girls and Boys Academy only

Thursday 6 April
6:00pm - 7:00pm - Girls and Boys Academy
7:00pm - 8:00pm - New U14 applicants plus returning players transitioning from Academy to U14 only
8:00pm - 9:00pm - New U16 applicants plus returning players transitioning from U14 to U16 only

Thursday 13 April
6:00pm - 7:00pm - Girls and Academy
7:00pm - 8:00pm - All U14
8:00pm - 9:00pm - All U16

I hope that you had a great weekend.

Bad luck to the U14 Reds and the U16 Whites who both missed out in their respective Grand finals. You should all be proud of your achievements this year, in fact, well done to all of the Seahorse Juniors players and coaches on an excellent 21/22 season! More about that at the End of Season Presentations....

Trials
Please remember that the trials for the U14s and the U16s are being conducted on the next two Thursday nights (31/3 and 7/4). Times are as follows:
Academy - 6-7pm
U14s - 7-8pm
U16s - 8-9pm

End of Season Presentations - Friday 8th of April - 7pm
The End of Season Presentations will be held in the Glenelg Clubrooms on Friday 8th of April at 7pm. Please save the date. Bar open from 6pm, no meals will be available.

Hi Everyone,
I hope that you had a great weekend.

How great is it that 3 of the 4 junior teams are in the finals - well done to all of the players and coaches involved and we are all behind you and cheering loudly for the Seahorse juniors over the next 2 weeks as we embark on the semis!

A special mention to the U14 Whites - well done on a great season to all players and coaches! To miss out by just 2 points is very disappointing for you we know. We are very proud of your efforts this year and we look forward to seeing all the U14s at the finals trainings and matches supporting the other teams!

Extra U14 net session - this Thursday at West Beach
A change for the U14s, there will be no fielding and conditioning training this Wednesday, instead there will be an extra net session at West Beach - details below.

Trials
Trial applications now need to be submitted within the next 3 weeks. Please remember that all completed and signed applications and payment must be received by 5pm Monday 21st of March 2022. Please scan and send your application (attached) to [email protected] as soon as possible.

Annual Bus Tour
On Sunday 15th of May the club has a fantastic wine tour including lunch for just $120 per person. For this you will have a great day wine tasting and have lunch (drinks not included) at Howards Vineyard Restaurant. The bus leaves the club at 9.30 and arrives back at around 5pm. This is a great day that I went on last year. I can't go this year but it would be great to see some junior families attend. There are only 40 seats on the bus so get in quick.

Wednesday March 2 - Glenelg Academy v Southern Districts @ Bowker St 4 - 6.
Thursday, March 3 - U16 Nets and Fielding and Conditioning Training 4.30-6.30pm.
Thursday, March 3 - U14 Nets @ West Beach 4.30-6.30pm. Ingerson Drive, West Beach (enter off Tapleys Hill Road)
Saturday, March 5 and March 12 - Semi-finals - Two day matches. Details on MyCricket.
