What a journey this year has been so far.
At the start of this year I undertook a new exercise regime and refocused my diet as part of my half century goal setting.
When I started this program which was after many years of my Drs and specialists telling me I wouldn’t be long before I’d be in a wheelchair because of the nerve neuropathy and muscle atrophy condition I suffer in my lower legs. They had no solutions for me due to the complexities of the condition other than try this drug, let’s do this test. None of it worked and honestly it only made it worse.
I wasn’t going to just surrender to the fate they had diagnosed.
I was going to fight this and find a way.
I practiced a healthy organic low carb, high fat diet with quality proteins.
I got my ass to the gym 4 days a week and out my all into every session.
I visualised who I wanted to be and the outcome of walking and maintaining my functionality was my goal.
I started out slow getting my nerves and muscles working.
At the start of the year I struggled to even lift the trap bar with 2 x 5kg plates either side (tops weight 30kg)
By April I was lifting 50kg.
At the end of April I got certified as a results coach and learnt techniques about removing trapped emotions, goal setting and seeing a future belonging.
Well I managed to release some trapped emotions and limiting beliefs around my self worth that had been there for many years after I became vison impaired.
It was like having a weight lifted off my shoulders and guess what my body responded.
Walking became easier
My strength and muscle function improved more than I could imagine.
This week on the 22/11/22 I lifted 130kg for 2 reps.
As you can imagine I’m over the moon.
Now I’ve set a goal of 140kg by the end of the year and 150kg by February which will be twice my body weight.
All because I released these trapped emotions, saw a future for myself and wasn’t prepared to give up because of a drs limiting belief.
This is my journey and I will decide the future I want to live and put in what needs to be dove to achieve it.

One of the most powerful things we can do is
“Listen To Understand”
All to often people
“Listen to Respond”
This might be to express their point of view, to defend themselves or belief, to give advise or just be heard.
Instead “Listen to Understand” when someone is talking especially if they are emotional, ask yourself these questions.
Why are they saying this?
What is the background behind this?
What is going on in their life right now?
What do they need, want or desire by saying this?
By listening to understand to get to know people better and improve our communication skills.

Recent human clinical trials and observational studies have proven how harmful overconsumption of seed and vegetable oils are to our bodies.
Side effects such as heart disease, diabetes, cancer, obesity, IBS, macular degeneration and chronic inflammation illnesses are far more likely with excessive consumption.
Oils such as Canola, corn, cottonseed, grapeseed, rice bran, soybean, safflower,
and sunflower oil are the worst offenders that are most commonly used in the kitchen, fast food and processed foods.
These oils are highly processed containing inflammatory linoleic acid.
Healthier alternatives include avocado, coconut, and olive oil as well organic and grass fed butter, ghee and lard.
Healthy saturated fats are essential for proper brain, nerve, cardiovascular and bone health.

Sometimes we might not achieve what we set out to do on our first attempt.
BUT, DO NOT GIVE UP!!!
Keep Going & Keep Growing
And DO NOT loose SIGHT of what you set out to ACHIEVE.

Way too many people compare themselves and their progress to others.
And wonder why they ARE NOT HAPPY.
Everyone has a different life journey filled with countless variations.
If you compare yourself to others you will never find happiness.
Instead only compare yourself to who you were yesterday.
Even if you have only improved by 0.01% from yesterday you have still improved and you have still moved forward.
Thousands of little steps climb mountains.
Be patient, keep persevering, keep going and keep growing yourself.
It is so satisfying to eee who you were and how far you’ve come.
