A recap on my own transformation journey 🔥

10 years on the path to changing my life and bettering myself 👊🏼

I spent many years of my life constantly drinking, partying, consuming sh*t and was 141kgs at one point. I used drinking as an escape from the fact that I wasn’t happy with the direction of my life or my body.

⏩ 10 years.

I woke up one day and decided to work towards healthier habits. Training hard in the weights room, or even with weights at my house, eating better meals, cutting alcohol & coke.

I’m now on a new journey of finally competing in my first bodybuilding show, so stay tuned for that 😎

Through this journey of bettering myself, I found my purpose in life - helping others elevate their health and physique.

If you’re ready to finally step up and change your life, then now is the time to reach out 💬

DM me for all coaching enquires or questions. Face to face sessions still available or online coaching options as well 🤝🏼

Let’s start today🔥

Motivation VS Discipline 💥

Honestly, you hear a lot how people “aren’t motivated” to do things, or they say “how do you always stay motivated?”

Here’s the thing, you’re not always going to be motivated! At lot of the time, the thing that separates those who reach their desired goals, to those who don’t, is discipline and habit on top of their motivation 👏🏼

It would be easy for many to skip the gym and stay in bed or go straight home from work. Same goes for nutrition, study, work, business - anything really. If you have a goal, you can’t rely solely on motivation to get you there. Check yourself when you’re not motivated and discipline yourself to do things you need to do, to get to where you wish to be👌🏼

If you want it bad enough, you’ll work for it. If you don’t, you’ll find an excuse 💯

K.I.S.S
Keep It Simple Stupid
👇🏼
Thinking bout personal struggles, mental or physical, we either overcome the struggles or slowly let them drag us down 🙅🏼‍♂️

We all look for what we are missing, for something to help us in times of struggle… but sometimes it’s better to remove things, thoughts or even beliefs…

What could you change?
Well, things that aren’t benefitting your life like addiction, toxin relations, going to bed at 2 am, dependency on caffeine etc.
Thoughts that are hindering your success and happiness, such as negative self talk ( I’ll never have that, I’m not good enough etc).
Or setting negative beliefs like not being yourself because your believe people won’t like you, or you can’t eat something because you will get fat.

All these restrictions and complications that are weighing you down, are what you need to work on removing first, before trying to add in new things.
Or, replace them with other thoughts, habits, actions.

Isn’t an easy road.
But it sure as hell is one worth travelling 💪🏼

Here’s a little reminder to put in the work. Hustle. Grind. Show up for yourself 💪🏼

You can achieve anything you want to in this life.

But it takes effort.

Training reminds me of that all the time. Wanting a certain physique doesn’t come easily. You have to fuel your body right, show up every day, eat enough food, train hard enough and rest more.

The discipline it takes to train with intent & build your body, will rub off onto other aspects of your life like your career, goals, relationships, friendships and more.

If you’re wanting to change your life for the better, get stuck into your training more.
Work hard, eat properly, feel better & achieve more.

Need some support with this?

💥 Client Transformation 💥

I have worked with this client for 11 months now. She began with a cut, before moving into a building phase for a little while and now back into a shred for summer and her end of year goal - a photoshoot 📸

She’s dropped 15kgs. How?

She executed all the information, tips and support I’ve given her throughout the whole year so far. She’s stayed consistent. She’s got back on track if she’s fallen off.

I can give you all the information is the world but if you don’t put in the effort and use what I give you, you won’t get the results you desire.

Looking to change your lifestyle? Shred down for summer and end of year festivities? Head into a building or maintenance phase over the festive season?

Train with intention and intensity 💪🏼

Too often, I see people fluffing around the gym, wondering what exercise to do next, what to train for the day, or even only putting effort into their compound lifts and nothing else.

This is your reminder that the nitty gritty stuff, like prehab/rehab/warm up sets/cooling down & even the accessory movements, are all JUST as important as your compound movements. All of these exercises you don’t wish to do, or you feel aren’t as important, are ultimately what are going to set you up to progress with your compounds.

How you do one thing, is how you do everything.
Put the same amount of effort into every exercise, every rep, every day for every body part.

If you’re unsure of what exercises to do to assist your progression for your compound lifts and the PBs you’re chasing, shoot me a message and we can discuss creating the perfect program tailored to you and your goals 🔥

Tuesday tip 👍🏼

How to: Rack Pull 💪🏼

Listen to the video above for the cues I use for myself and my clients when performing a rack pull effectively and safely.
💥 Ensure bar is placed just under your knees. (If you are a shorter human, what I like to do for my clients is have them stand on a step)
💥 Hinge your hips back, just like an RDL.
💥 Grab the bar around shoulder-width, bend the bar to engage your lats & keep your back tight.
💥 Ensure the weight is placed in your full foot.
💥 Breath in your nose & fill your belly with air, tense your core before lifting the weight.

As the bar is higher than your usual deadlift, your weight on a rack pull movement should be progressively more.

All big lifts really require you to focus a lot on your core and ensuring you’re braced enough to do our best to prevent injuries.

We wanna lift for a long time, so take your time with the set up and focus on your form before hitting anything too heavy 💪🏼

If you need some support with a program, reach out. I have a new online app I can add you to for training and nutrition and help get you summer ready and build foundations for a healthier lifestyle 🔥
