🇳🇿 ANZAC DAY HERO WOD 🇦🇺
This Saturday for Anzac Day, we’ll be running the same HERO WOD across all morning classes: Coach’s WOD, Social Saturday & Community WOD.

🦈🐕‍🦺 LANDSHARK:
Combat Assault dogs were introduced into ADF service with the Special Air Service Regiment (SASR) in 2006. SASR dogs’ primary mission was to detect, track, attack and immobilise enemy combatants as well as search and detect for explosive devices and other exploitable materials, they were affectionately known by their handlers as ‘Land Sharks’.
During multiple deployments to Afghanistan the Combat Assault dogs saved numerous Australian soldiers’ lives, resulting in a number of dogs wounded and 4 dogs making the ultimate sacrifice.

This workout is dedicated to the four SASR Combat Assault Dogs who were Killed in Action: KUGA, Quake, Devil and Fax.

This workout embodies two Combat Assault dog traits: Teamwork and Sacrifice. Teamwork is expressed through synchronised exercises in a 4-person team, while Sacrifice is represented with an individual team member performing 10 burpees when their teams break up their prescribed reps.

We’re raising funds for PTSD Dogs Australia this ANZAC, an organisation that provides assistance dogs to veterans and first responders living with PTSD!
