Introducing the newest addition to the Outback Meter Men family, THE legendary 1998 Ford Laser GLXi.🙌

Sporting a 1.8L feat of engineering perfection, the Laser GXLi also brings a touch of class, with a factory cassette player, INCLUDING a 6 stack CD player, which was loaded with timeless bangers from Play School, Roy Orbison LIVE, and Elvis CDs. The previous owner is going to absolutely spew when he realises those CDs are gone 😆

Her glide throughout history hasn't aged this beauty one bit, surprisingly. The flaking white paint, I'm pretty sure was a factory option, so too was the greasy engine bay and crusty rusty wipers. Items on everyone's must-have list.

We can't wait to get this collectors piece out into the wilderness and turn some heads.

8.5 months to go until the rally, we cannot wait!

We want your ideas for a car - what should we buy for the rally??

The criteria:
- Must be 2001 or older
- FWD or RWD only
- Budget is around $3,000
- Needs to have air con!

That's about it, lets hear your ideas!

We've looked at some Toyota Camry's, Corollas, Lancers, Magnas, Mirages, Tarago vans etc, so hit us up!

Also, if you have a car that might suit the above criteria, let us know as we'd be keen to look!

We are definitely aiming to settle on a car this month, so we can give it the Outback Meter Men treatment, and get back to our fundraising.

We had a quick look at some of the cars for the Spring 2025 rally on the weekend, which finished here on the GC. Some went up for auction, others have done multiple rally's and a fully decked out with some cool ideas.

It was a good guide of what's to come, as next year will be our first time doing the rally 👍🏼
