Term 2 was a little bit of a fizzer with various things getting in the way (AKA life) so it was was lovely to see everyone back in class!

Alongside my teaching - which I’ve been doing for more than 20 years - I’m a bit of a dab hand with sewing and have made my fair share of dance costumes. Tutus included.

I had a break for about 10 years, while I was studying nutrition and having a bubba (who is now 7). I made a few things here and there but last year I found myself at the sewing table more frequently, and got back into the tutu making groove.

This week I finished my first ever Ready To Wear tutu! (As opposed to a commissioned one).

Here she is in all her sweetness. A girls size 6-8.

Welcome to my page. There's no fancy name - I've done that before and I've decided that simple is best. So, Jenni Bell ARAD RAD RTS it is.
Jenni Bell is me. I'm a career ballet teacher located in Gosford on the Central Coast of New South Wales. I've been teaching dance for over 2 decades and most of the past 10 years has seen my focus almost exclusively on ballet. Which is ok - it was my first foray into the dance world and I don't remember a time without it in my life. First love, so to speak.
All the letters? Well, ARAD stands for Associate of the Royal Academy of Dance. The honorific is available for dancers who have completed their Advanced 2 examination - which is difficult to achieve and demands passion, dedication and sound technical proficiency to pass. The only examination higher than Advanced 2 is Solo Seal, which is a pre-professional level that is either awarded or not awarded. There is no grading for Solo Seal.
RAD RTS stands for Royal Academy of Dance Registered Teaching Status. That means I have a teaching qualification with the Royal Academy of Dance, am a full member and I am able to send students for ballet examinations.

I teach regular weekly classes at 2 different studios on the Central Coast. This page is for my adult class program which runs independently. It is for my freelance teaching work, and general ballet or dance related content.
