⚽️ Round One is done and dusted — and what a fantastic start to junior soccer! 🙌
As we head into the rest of the season, it’s the perfect time for an important reminder… SHOOSH! 🤫
May is Shoosh for Kids month, a collaborative initiative between the Office of Sport and sporting partners, encouraging positive sideline behaviour at junior sport.
Going into Round 2, we’re asking everyone to Shoosh for our Referees 👏⚽
Without them, there is no game. Many of our referees are young, learning, and giving their time so our kids can play the sport they love. They deserve encouragement, respect, and support — not criticism from the sidelines.
✅ Cheer for effort
✅ Applaud good sportsmanship
✅ Respect the whistle
❌ Leave the coaching (and yelling!) at home
Shoosh for our Referees. Shoosh for our Kids. 💙🤫

Today’s Fun Fact
LAW CHANGES 2025/26: A player kicks the ball towards a team-mate, but the pass does not reach them, or any other player, because the ball suddenly bursts in the middle of the field. What is the correct decision if the referee cannot determine which team would have gained possession, as there are several players from both teams near the ball?

🚫 NO SMOKING AT SPORTING EVENTS! 🚫
🚨 In line with NSW Health regulations, smoking is prohibited in all areas during organised sporting events. This includes both covered and uncovered areas, whether or not seating is provided, and is for the entire duration of the sporting event or training.
⚠️ This also includes va**ng – e-cigarettes are not permitted in these areas either.
If you a smoker, please ensure you are not on or near the field of play or ANY spectator areas - including the playground, canteen and toilet block. Smokers must be away from all participants and spectators - think carpark or the roadside area of the walking track (off the concrete) if you need to smoke.
Fines of up to $2,000 are payable if you break the no smoking law!
Let’s keep our sports grounds smoke-free for everyone’s health! 🙌
