As we step toward spring, this short September course is your chance to reconnect with your practice in a way that feels personal, empowering, and deeply supportive. Whether you’re brand new or have been on the mat for years, this series meets you exactly where you are — physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.

Over four Saturdays, we explore the foundations of alignment, the mind‑body connection, emotional regulation, yogic philosophy, and the bridge between psychology and spirituality. You’ll walk away with tools you can use every single day — on and off the mat.

And the best part…
You receive unlimited classes for 4 weeks during the course, encouraging daily practice so your biggest takeaways become embodied, lived, and integrated.

What You’ll Experience
Physical alignment tailored to your body
Somatic practices for nervous system support
Foundations of yogic philosophy and the Sutras
Tools for mental + emotional regulation
Weekly reflections to deepen integration
The bridge between spiritual and psychological wellbeing
A supportive community learning alongside you

🌿 A Story About Why This Course Exists

For a long time, yoga was my anchor.
Rolling out my mat felt like coming home — breath, movement, presence, all working together to steady me.

But slowly, things changed.

My practice started to feel stale.
I went from loving yoga to dragging myself to class, telling myself I’d feel better once I arrived.
Then came the stage where I booked classes hoping the commitment alone would motivate me…
but even then, I didn’t show.

It wasn’t that I didn’t care.
It was that I didn’t know how to move forward.
My practice felt stuck — familiar, but no longer nourishing.
I wasn’t prioritising myself, and I didn’t know how to reignite that spark.

What I was missing wasn’t discipline.
It was progress — the balance between challenge and achievable.
A way to deepen my practice in a way that felt personal, meaningful, and sustainable.

That’s why I created this September course.
A space to explore alignment that actually fits your body.
A place to learn tools for mental and emotional regulation that support you beyond the mat.

A bridge between yogic philosophy and everyday life.
And with unlimited classes for three weeks, a chance to practice daily in a way that feels empowering, not pressured.

This course is the one I needed —
and now it’s here for anyone whose practice has gone quiet, stuck, or stale…
anyone craving depth, confidence, and a fresh start.

If any part of this story feels familiar, this journey was made for you.

You used to feel like yourself. That version hasn't gone — he's just been buried under it all.

Gympie men who are tired in a way they can't explain and don't feel they can admit.

There was a version of you who still had something left in the tank —
who came home present, connected, patient, able to feel love before frustration.
You’re not sure when he went quiet.
It wasn’t one moment.
It was years of early starts, stiff hands, aching back, collapsing into bed and doing it all again…
until you stopped being on your own list and started believing this is just life now.

That’s not who you are.
It’s what the grind has done to you — and those aren’t the same thing.

I’m Scott, co‑founder of YOUnion Yoga Gympie.
I built FundaMENtals because I was that man — worn down, convinced needing help meant something was wrong with me. Yoga and mindfulness brought me back, and now I teach the same foundations to men who’ve never done this and aren’t sure they believe in it.

It starts with a real phone call with me — no script, no pressure.
Then four men‑only sessions designed for bodies that have been through years of hard work.
Two free classes each week help what you’re learning actually land — where the back pain eases, the breath deepens, and you finally feel in control again.

FundaMENtals - Yoga For Men!

A lot of men tell me the same thing:
They want to get the benefits of what yoga brings…
but they feel out of place.
Not flexible enough.
Not calm enough.
Not “yoga‑ish” enough.
And underneath all of that?
Stress.
Pressure.
A body that’s tight and sore.
A mind that never switches off.

FundaMENtals was created for exactly this.
It’s a course that builds confidence, not performance.

This course gives men the tools to:
• Understand stress and how it shows up in the body
• Reduce pain through simple, effective movement
• Build confidence to walk into any yoga class
• Use mindfulness to support mental health
• Improve overall wellbeing in a way that ripples into daily life

💪 Why FundaMENtals Exists — A Story for the Blokes Who Push Through Everything

Scott was that guy.
A hard‑working tradie.
Up early, home late, no days off, and sore from years of The Grind.
Living in a culture where you just “get on with it” and personal wellbeing isn’t something men talk about — let alone prioritise.

But he hit a point where things got real, one day at work he snapped his left bicep tendon. Unable to go to work he was aware if he didn’t do something he would wake up one day and realise he’d given up living his life only to be trudging through each day to hopefully make it to next.

His gym provided fitness classes one of these was yoga.
Not the fancy stuff — just breathing, moving, stretching.

Scott started yoga for the physical benefits, but continued the practice because it gave him a freedom from years of stress that was unexpected.

And something shifted.

He could finally breathe properly.
His energy came back.
He started doing the things he’d stopped making time for because he was exhausted.

That’s when Scott realised something big:
heaps of men feel exactly the same way he used to.
Strained.
Sore.
Running on empty.
Men’s mental health is through the roof.
Stress is chewing blokes up.

And society doesn’t exactly make space for men to look after themselves.

So he created FundaMENtals
a course built to give men the tools he wishes he had earlier.

This course isn’t about being flexible.
It’s about taking control of your wellbeing in a world that rarely tells men they’re allowed to.

If Scott’s story feels familiar, this course is for you.
