The arrival to Constitution Dock in the early hours of Wednesday morning brought with it a warm reunion for the entire family. Another memorable Rolex Sydney Hobart moment.

Hamilton Island crossed the finish line with a time of 01:13:38:13.

The crew would like to pass on their appreciation to all of the incredible support received throughout the race via our socials. Be sure to stay tuned for more race highlights across the coming days.

A cracking start to the 2022 Rolex Sydney Hobart

After a jostle between the maxis heading out of Sydney, Hamilton Island is now well into the 628nm journey to Hobart.

A message received from the crew a little earlier this afternoon:

“All good out here onboard Hamilton Island Wild Oats.

We are currently doing 20.5 knts, heading 174 about 10 mile off Port Kembla (located off the coast of Batemans Bay at the time of writing this post)

A pretty exciting start in the harbour with a few of the big boats having to do turns to make sure everything will be good at the finish.

Currently trying to stay low on course with our A2 up.

Pretty happy on board, a cracking afternoon out here.”
