Open to U8–U12 players from all clubs and academies — you don't need to be a Northern Stars player.

🇹🇭 THAILAND 2026 – FINAL PLAYER SPOTS! ⚽

Northern Stars Football Academy is looking for a small number of players to complete our squads travelling to Thailand for the Hanuman Cup, 2–7 December 2026.

We currently have:

🧤 U9 – 1 spot remaining (Goalkeeper preferred)
⚽ U11 – 3–4 spots remaining

Players do not need to currently be part of Northern Stars to join us.

For players travelling from outside the Wide Bay region who are unable to attend our November training sessions, we are offering the 6-day Thailand player package for $1,295.

🇹🇭 Player package includes:
• Hanuman Cup tournament registration & insurance
• 5 nights/6 days accommodation
• Breakfast, lunch & dinner each day
• Local transfers
• Gala Dinner/Opening Ceremony
• Team training in Thailand

⭐️⚽ WHAT MAKES NORTHERN STARS DIFFERENT?

With 2027 trials approaching, we thought it was worth explaining a little more about what we offer and the type of football environment we're trying to create.

For us, development is about more than two training sessions a week.

⚽ A LONGER DEVELOPMENT SEASON
We start in January and continue through until the end of September, with two training sessions every week.

🏆 COMPETITIVE FOOTBALL
We believe competition is an important part of player development.

For 2027 we already have 6 competitive tournaments planned, including:

• Academy Cup, Gold Coast
• SCCSA tournaments, including 11-a-side football for U10+
• Brisbane Juniors Cup
• Plus other competitive tournaments to complete our calendar

In previous tournaments we've faced the likes of Melbourne Victory, Juventus Academy, FDP Football Academy, Queensland Soccer Academy and Villarreal Academy.

🔥 QUALITY GAMES THROUGHOUT THE SEASON
We already have 4 match days against Sunshine Coast FC Fire planned to help develop our teams and prepare them for tournament football.

💪 WE DEVELOP ATHLETES, NOT JUST FOOTBALLERS
Northern Stars has a dedicated Strength & Conditioning coach.

Fitness, speed, strength, agility and movement are all important parts of football and we believe they should be developed alongside technical ability.

🧠 WE DEVELOP A COMPETITIVE MENTALITY
We want our players to want to win.

That doesn't mean winning at all costs. It means learning how to compete.

Sometimes we win. Sometimes we lose. When we lose, we learn from it, work harder and come back better.

That's part of football and an important part of development.

🌍 TRAINING WITH PURPOSE
Our sessions incorporate training methods and drills from some of the leading football academies around the world, with a focus on technical development, decision-making and preparing players for competitive match situations.

✈️ INTERNATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES
Players also have the option to participate in international tournaments and football experiences, giving those who want it an opportunity to experience football at another level.

At Northern Stars, we don't believe development means removing competition.

We believe players develop by training hard, playing quality opposition, being challenged, winning, losing, learning and doing it all again.

That's the environment we're continuing to build in 2027. ⭐️⚽

Throughout November, our Thailand squads begin preparations with dedicated training sessions every Wednesday and Sunday.

What a fantastic day for Northern Stars Football Academy at the Clinton Cup in Gladstone!

We proudly took three teams to the tournament, with our U9, U11 and U12 squads representing the academy with pride, determination and outstanding sportsmanship.

To come away with 1st, 2nd and 3rd across our three age groups is an incredible achievement and a testament to the hard work our players and coaches continue to put in every week.

While we're proud of the results, we're even prouder of the way our players competed throughout the day. Every team represented Northern Stars with great attitude, worked hard for each other and gave everything until the final whistle.

A huge thank you to our coaches, families and supporters who travelled to Gladstone and helped make it another memorable day for the academy. Your support means everything.

We're excited to officially announce that Northern Stars Football Academy has been confirmed as a competing team at the 2026 Hanuman Cup in Thailand! ⚽🌏

This is an incredible opportunity for our players to experience international football, test themselves against teams from around the world, and create memories that will last a lifetime.

Over six action-packed days, our squad will not only compete in the Hanuman Cup but also enjoy training sessions, a friendly match, sightseeing, and team experiences that will make this an unforgettable tour.

This October we're launching our 8-week Champions League — an exciting Thursday night competition for U8-U12 players.

Designed to give players more touches on the ball, more game time, and a fun, competitive environment to keep developing after the regular season.

⚽️ U11 United Cup Wrap-Up ⚽️

A fantastic weekend on the Gold Coast for our U11s, who put together a brilliant tournament from start to finish.

The team went undefeated through the group stage, finishing top of the table after four wins and a draw to book their place in the Grand Final.

Unfortunately, the final didn't quite go our way, with a narrow 2-1 loss meaning we just fell short of lifting the trophy. Despite the result, the team never stopped fighting and pushed right until the final whistle. On another day, things could easily have gone our way.

There are plenty of positives to take from the weekend, along with a few things to work on as we continue to develop. That's all part of the journey.

We're incredibly proud of the effort, attitude and football the boys produced throughout the tournament.

We'll learn from it, keep improving, and we'll be back bigger, better and stronger for our next tournament next month. 💛🖤🏆
