No.18 WILLIAM ‘RIVER’ BEARDSLEY

River has been a genuine attacking weapon in his first season at the Nest, establishing himself as one of our most dangerous and consistent performers forward of the ball. A strong aerial presence with silky skills and natural goal sense, he has become one of our leading goal kickers while also showing an ability to impact through the midfield. His infectious positivity and energy have made him a hugely popular teammate who has fully embraced the Eagles culture.

No.58 THOMAS ‘PEPTIDE’ SHAW

Pep has become a genuine force in his first season at the Nest, with his athleticism, physicality and versatility allowing him to impact games wherever needed. Predominantly used as a key defender or in the ruck, he is dominant in the air, reliable with ball in hand and brings a physical edge from his rugby league background. His rapid development and infectious energy have also made him a spiritual barometer for the group — when Pep is up and about, others follow.

No.40 DANIEL SPINA

Spina has emerged as a cornerstone of our defensive group in his second season at the Nest. After beginning the year forward, he found his home down back and quickly became one of our most trusted defenders, regularly taking responsibility for some of the opposition’s most dangerous forwards. His rugby league background is evident in his toughness and physicality, while his composure and decision-making continue to elevate his game. A respected quiet leader, his sharp humour and genuine investment in the club make him just as valuable off the field.

No.7 ADAM ‘AJ’ GERSEKOWSKI

A bull around the contest, AJ brings a strong inside presence with his ability to win the football, stay clean below his knees and release our outside runners. Forward of the ball, he plays well above his size and has a knack for finding a goal when the team needs it most. Elevated into the leadership group in 2026, AJ has taken significant strides in his leadership and professionalism, setting standards through his actions and the way he carries himself. Highly respected by his teammates, his influence also extends across the club through his continued support of our junior program.

No.21 ALEX ‘DISCOUNT’ CLARIDGE

A cornerstone of our defensive group, Discount’s experience, composure and quality ball use off half back have made him an important presence in the side. After spending time away due to work commitments, he returned to once again establish himself as a consistent and reliable performer in defence. As senior men’s captain, Discount has led by example throughout 2026, driving standards of professionalism and accountability within the group. His commitment extends well beyond senior football, with his support of our junior teams and Masters program reflecting the leadership he brings to the entire club.

No.55 DYLAN BRAMBLE

A fierce competitor and genuine game-changer, Dylan has made an enormous impact in his first season at the Nest. His versatility has seen him take on roles across the ground, but his contested work, ball-winning ability and quality use through the midfield and forward line have consistently influenced games. Relentless without the football and capable of producing big moments on both sides of the contest, Dylan has quickly emerged as a spiritual leader of the group. A true man of the people, he has embraced every part of the Eagles, becoming a huge supporter of our junior teams and Masters program.

No.43 MATTHEW PARKER

Parker made enormous strides in his first season as an Eagle, earning a regular place in our defensive group through his tough, uncompromising and unrelenting approach. His skills, confidence and understanding of the game continued to grow throughout 2026, establishing himself as someone we could trust down back. Off the field, Parker quickly became a popular and selfless clubman who is always willing to put his hand up and help.

No.8 JAKE ‘SKITTLES’ SKILTON

Skittles quickly became a dependable and uncompromising presence in his first season as an Eagle. Predominantly a defender but trusted in a number of roles, his competitiveness and willingness to never take a backward step made him someone we could rely on each week. A quiet achiever and genuine clubman, Skittles’ mateship and willingness to contribute also saw him lend his support to our senior women’s program.

No.5 KALLUM ‘KT’ TYSON

KT made an immediate impact in his first season as an Eagle, establishing himself as a genuine difference-maker across the wing and forward of the ball. His speed, elite ball use and natural goal sense made him a constant threat, with the ability to break a game open when we needed it most. A highly respected quiet leader within the group, KT also embraced the wider club through umpiring and his support of our Masters program.

A massive congratulations to our Under 15.5 Boys, who were crowned Division 4 Brisbane South Premiers on Sunday, 30 August! 🦅🏆

This is an incredibly special moment in the history of our club, marking the first male premiership in the Ipswich Eagles’ 26-season history.

What a fantastic achievement for this group of young men, who have represented the Eagles with pride throughout the season and have now earned their place in the club’s history. 💙💛🦅

The premiership cup is going to look pretty good sitting alongside our Under 13 Girls and Senior Women’s premiership cups from 2019! 🏆🏆🏆

A huge congratulations must also go to the coaches for their time, commitment and dedication to the team, along with all the parents and volunteers who give up their time each and every week to make sure these boys have the opportunity to play the greatest game in the land.

Congratulations boys, you’ve made history and given the Ipswich Eagles something we will never forget. PREMIERS! 🏆🦅💙💛
