Hi all, After a stint on the sidelines again , while waiting on parts to rebuild the motor in the 22 car,and not having the motor for the proddie we decided to throw the spare Danny Harrison built Gosa motor in the proddie 11 car and give it a run at Moama on May 9th.
Started first heat out of 10th and got up to 6th until started loosing power and started slowing and managed to get home in 8th then came to a dead stop on back straight. Had to get a push back to pit. We found a blown fuse which stopped the fuel pump.
Thinking we had that sorted got ready to grid up for heat 2 and found car had a bind in steering which found it hard to move steering wheel . Changed power steering pump which made no difference, so decided to pack up. Turns out that steering column knuckle was hitting the back of the housing on back of firewall.
So hopefully issue is sorted and may bring out on wahgunyah funday to test it again.
Next stop , we spent the week leading up to Wahgunyah May23rd , putting motor back together and in car on the wednesday and Dyno thursday/friday and to the track saturday.
So the 22 car finally back running again , thanks to Stephen Bowdren.
We started on pole and led half of race till Danny McCarten slipped under me and 2 laps from finish Shorty got around me on outside then went bit wide and i thought i was going to get him back but then he got around me at turn 3. So i got 3rd.
Heat 2 started 11th and got to 7th and heat 3 started 6th and finished 6th.
Started 12/19 cars in A Main , with passing a few and a few dropping out got up to 7th .
So got 2 finish my 2nd feature of the season, woo hoo!!
Hoping things move forward from here with better results and hope next season brings more luck!!

Been a while since we hurt the motor pretty bad at Leeton , which was attributed from the on going engines issue pretty much from the first time we hit the track this season.
Hasn't been the start of my comeback that i had hoped for!!
We are very close to having motor rebuild for Monaro.
Planning to hopefully get it back out for last 2 rounds at wahgunyah.
Meanwhile , The Proddie motor didnt happen in time for a couple of races before Aussie Title, which was a bit sad that i couldn’t have a crack! But anyway, we decided to throw a Gosa engine in the car that Danny Harrison built me 2 years ago in the Proddie so i could blow the dust off and have a go at Moama. So fingers crossed it all comes together.

Just an update on the car !! Unfortunately the engine has come out of the car in the last few days. The joy continues. Heads have come off and have found pistons to be burnt and rings broken.
After a ph call to the original engine builder we have discovered that the engine had way to much compression after changing fuel from E85 back to 98. We had changed injectors and retuned thinking that was all that was required, Turns out that the Pistons were custom forged to only run E85, therefore could explain why we fried spark plugs and why car was cutting out when it got hot.
So we are doing a rebore of block and a new set of pistons , back together and tune , and hope to be back on the track at Wangaratta on the 28th March.
Hasn't been the ideal comeback as i hoped, so i think we will keep trying to get some better results in the remaining rounds and hope to start the next season better.
Big thanks to Steve for all the time spent on this car.

Well a recap off last weekend at Rushworth 21/2 and last night at Leeton 28/2.
RUSHWORTH.
Heat 1 at Rushy wasn't ideal as the track was being ripped about a car width from pole as we were heading out onto track. Started on front out of 2 and got to the lead briefly and lost a spot by taking wrong line and went wide on turn 2 about 2 laps later and lost 2 more spots, then final found the best line and stayed in 5th to the chequer. Heat 2 started in 6th and got up to 3rd until half way down back straight on last lap lost power and lost 2 spots by the time i got to chequer, finishing 5th again. Replaced a coil pack thinking this was the issue.
3rd heat started in 6th and got up to 2nd , car was going well then same thing happened again, lost power half way down back straight on last lap and lost only 1 spot this time finishing 3rd.
We changed whole ignition module this time before final.
Started in 10th for final, The Dust , right from the start lead cars kicked up so much dust from pole line, i was practically driving blind hoping i would run into anyone, I just carefully cruise around hoping i wouldn't hit anyone till the end, didn't even push hard at all . finished 11th .
LEETON
Heat 1 started out of 9th, Was getting a bit frustrated and tried to sneak up the inside of a driver on turn 2 , was tight as we bumped panels i ran a smidge over pole line . A bout a lap or 2 later i was shown the black flag, which i don't really understand why??
Heat 2 started in 3rd and finished in 4th, car went good .
Heat 3 started in5th and was going really well chasing close to Mitch and Marty until a yellow in 3rd , then car started breaking down and smoking and losing power again! But worse than Rushy.
Managed to crawl over line back firing and smoking in 7th.
Just pulled car off track and shut down and got a push to the pits.
Opened up bonet when i got back to trailer to find a small oil fire on left hand side extractors and the right hand side of engine bay saturated in oil which looked like its been pouring out of catch can.
Night over, a mess in the engine bay and scratching my head as to when all the dramas will stop.
We will miss the next round at Wahgunyah on Mar 14th due to the Riverina outback rally commitments, but will hopefully return to the track with all issues sorted at Round 4 of the Blue shed series on 28th March at Wangaratta.

Gday, followers and sponsors.
We went across to Swan Hill on 10th January and had an Ok night except for feature.
Heat 1 started out of 6 and got up to 3rd.
Heat 2 started out of 5 and got up to second after losing some ground at first and then finding the good drive around the top, narrowly missing out on the win to dagroll by .014 sec.
Heat 3 started out of 2 and ran a good race with Tom Schmetz and finishing 2nd again. That surprising put me on pole for final.
Then it went wrong , tried a line i hadn't all night (stupid) right down the inside down back straight and lost all grip and turned her round and ended up on infield. Got put to rear for stoppage. Got going again and made up a few spots and had a small touch with Mick Meline which put me on the infield again . so decided to park it for night.
Last weekend at Wahgunyah 17th was not my night, went out in the first heat starting in 9th and got as far as 8th, but was just down on power and wondering if clutch was right.
2nd heat, Car was not feeling right with clutch at all rolling on to track at all, managing to roll around slow for a lap, clutch slipping big time pulled it in , night over.
Turns out we missed issues with pressure plate and cooked the clutch again. Now whole new clutch set up will go in and hope all will be good for Wagga on the 7th Feb. Had good power for 3 heats at Swan Hill , and i know there's more in it yet , once we get it all right.
Thankyou to all my sponsors for your help and support, promising signs ahead.

Hi All, A recap from Saturday night at Wahgunyah.
Car felt a lot better after all the work Bowdy has been doing on it, thankyou mate.
Started P2 in first heat, other than Shorty slipping by on my outside early was able to finish a solid 2nd.
Started P7 in heat 2 , and chipped away at a couple of drivers over a few laps and ran out of tear offs, while trying to find away past Bob, so it was a little hard to see my way past so settled for 4th.
3rd heat started P6 and was starting to go forward then decided to go real low on pole line (Wet) trying to get past a car and hit the wet stuff and looped it, so got sent to rear. Then silly me tried it again trying to get spots back and then I was DQ for causing 2 yellows🤪
Next thing clutch decided it was time to fail, so night done!
Was drawn position 6/16 for final but couldn't make it out.
We have to sort out the new clutch and a voltage issue, but should be good to go on 10th January at Swan Hill.

Hi all followers, Its been a, not ideal start back in the race seat after a 19mth stint on the side-lines. We are still trying to sort out all the issues that pop up with a new build. We have had quite a few, so far! Its a little frustrating , but we will eventually get this Monaro sorted out, so we can be competitive.
We got the car out for the first time at Wangaratta on the 29/11.
Have to admit i was quite nervous about getting back in the seat for the first time since my roll over at Alexandra. I did take it easy in my first heat just to feel the car out, and adding to that it fuelled up off the start and had a bit of miss. Finished the heat in 8th
Second heat was the same of the start, with the miss a lot worse, decided to keep going, probably hoping it would get better, but definitely felt more comfortable in car going around that the first heat, and still got home in 4th.
After the heat Tommy Duck pointed out that front right didn't look right, so had a look to discover that strut bolt had come loose and ball joint was about to fall out, not ideal!! we didn't have spares to sort nor anyone else to help in pits. The miss was a cracked spark plug. So after 2 heats parked up for the night.
Alexandra last night 6/12, Well after the rain delaying the start of the night i wasn't drawn to come out till the second heat which wasn't until after 8pm after arriving at the track at 1130am😌 Felt like and eternity and i was honestly over the whole day already after getting some sad news about someone close to me and my wife.
I drew pole for my first run at Alex since my roll over, which did play in my mind a bit for the first few laps.
Well , Managed to creep home in 5th but with continuing issues that repeated from Wangaratta, fuelling up, spark plug lead coming off, car was skating over the top, no bite and no front brakes which i had to get out of throttle early at turn 3 to avoid washing up to the fence as many cars found last night .I was not comfortable at all in the car last night and with no front brakes that we couldn't fix at track, was disappointed to only do 1 heat for the night, we will make some more changes and hopefully shake these issues and have a better run at Wahgunyah on 27/12 . I would like to thank my sponsors for your support. We will get there soon and hopefully get back up there and win some races,
