Thanks to Sam at Football West - Goldfields for helping us to run game leader training for some of our older players at the start of the season.

This is a fantastic opportunity for our older players to stay involved in the sport and build leadership skills, confidence, and game knowledge.

If you see the kids out there, please remember to show your support and encouragement from the sidelines.

COUNTRY WEEK TRIALS

The first round of Country Week trials will be held on Sunday 19 April at Usher Park. See below for times.

Under 12, Under 14, Under 17 Girls (2009-2014 born) - 9:30am
Under 11 Boys (2015 born) - 10:30am
Under 13 Boys (2013 & 2014 born) - 12:30pm
Under 15 Boys (2011 & 2012 born) - 2:30pm

What is Country Week?
Held in Perth in the first week of the Term 3 school holidays, associations from regional WA send representative teams in the above age groups to compete against one another in a week-long football carnival. Players will be selected from across the Goldfields clubs, with the GSA usually sending two teams in each boys division, and one team in each girls division. Families are responsible for their own travel and accommodation to Perth for the tournament.

If you are interested in trying out, please attend the relevant trial for your age group. There will likely be multiple trial dates and you should attend as many as possible, but if you can't make it to the first trial, please let the GSA know so that they can record your interest!
