I feel like most of you know all about Hayden by how much we post and talk about this little trooper. I don't know many adults who have as much willpower, strength or determination as he does. We have all seen him on his journey working his little butt off for every bit of progress he can make, learning to climb, walk and even drive! No matter what comes his way, he never stayed down for long, always springing back to his feet and getting back into it with his family, friends and girlfriends (of which he has a few!).

Recently Hayden was admitted to the ICU ward at Perth Children's Hospital with severe heart issues and to say it has turned our life upside down is an understatement. If it weren't for the amazing support we have received, I don't know how we would have made it through the last couple weeks and the weeks ahead aren't going to be any better. If it weren't for our amazing support team of family, friends, workmates and groups like HeartKids for telling us we arent going through this alone, Ronald McDonald House Charities Western Australia for giving us a place to rest when things were dire and Telethon for helping to fund amazing hospitals and research, we wouldn't be where we are now. Safe and supported. Our stay at hospital is far from over but with the amazing level of care from all the doctors, nurses, support staff, it is definitely not as daunting as it could be.

So instead of asking anyone for any help, we are asking everyone to donate to Telethon this year. To help these amazing groups continue to provide the amazing level of support we have received, to ensure that if you ever need the same level of support for your own family, it is there, ready and waiting. Every child should be able to receive the love and help that Hayden has.

Mum’s HEART-WRENCHING post over ‘sparkling’ little girl The mother of four-year-old girl Cleo Smith, who vanished on a family camping trip in WA’s remote Gascoyne, has posted a heartbreaking update as the search for the girl continues this morning.

This is Hayden, one of our newest team members, he has Agenesis of the Corpus Callosum, Low Tone and Mild Hearing Loss. When we were given the news, we were told "he might never walk or talk". We spent days bawling with heartbreak before we hit the groung running with specialists and therapies to give him the best chance we could. Hayden is the happiest boy and is always trying his best even at 8mo. Because of him, we have joined the Perth Children's Hospital Big Walk fundraiser to help ensure that other families -no matter the dynamic- recieve the amazing support we have gotten from them. Without them, our world would still be a devastated place like it was in those first few days.

Our team "Hayden's Walk" is inspired by all we have experienced in the last few months and we hope you will walk with us, share it with families or even donate just a few dollars to this cause. The link to the event is in the comments 💙
