What a great match, our goal keeper was amazing letting nothing through and the Socceroos defence was impenetrable. Thanks for the club members that came down to witness our first World Cup victory for 2026 and hopefully many more! -Tom and Heather Martin, Brendan Doyle, Colin Shiel, Robbie Leitch, Andrew Tyrrell and myself.

Greens update and works are progressing at a good pace and the B green synthetic should be laid within the next week hopefully.

🌟 All the very best to every lawn bowler kicking off their campaign at this year’s Australian Open on the Gold Coast.
May you soak up the sunshine, play with confidence, trust your preparation, and embrace every new friendship made along the way.
Step onto the green with courage, leave nothing behind, and know that whatever happens — you gave it everything on the grass. 💚💛
Good luck to all competitors, and a huge thank you to the officials and volunteers whose hard work and dedication make this event more successful every single year.

Just received from Tim Richardson .....
Thank you for your email and for sharing this wonderful news with Tim Richardson MP.
Tim was absolutely thrilled to hear of Jeanette Barrett’s outstanding achievements at the Australian Blind Bowlers Association National Championships. Winning Gold in Singles, Gold in Mixed Pairs and being named Best Female Bowler in the Nationals is an extraordinary accomplishment, which is made even more remarkable by Jeanette’s dedication and competitive spirit at 92 years of age. The success of the "three sisters" is a wonderful example of teamwork, commitment, and family support.
We are impressed by the inclusive nature of both the championships and the sport itself. Lawn bowls continues to demonstrate how people of all ages and abilities can participate, compete, and excel at the highest levels. Events such as the ABBA National Championships showcase the strength of inclusive sport and the opportunities it creates for athletes with vision impairment.
Please pass on our warmest congratulations to Jeanette, Claire and Judy, as well as everyone at Edithvale Bowling Club. Jeanette’s achievements are a credit to herself, her family, and the club and serve as an inspiration to the community.
We wish Jeanette and all members of Edithvale Bowling Club continued success and enjoyment in the seasons ahead.
