π΄ The NOC page is now live!!
For a long time Iβve wanted to create a place where cyclists could access the same sports science and coaching principles used in professional cycling and high-performance sport.
After more than 15 years working as a sport scientist and coach across Olympic-level swimming and professional cycling, Iβve created a space for cyclists who want to train using the same principles that have helped riders such as Luke Plapp, Ruby Roseman-Gannon and Georgie Howe consistently perform at the highest level.
Inside youβll find:
β
Cutting-edge evidence-based training information
β
Numerous training programs including time trial, criterium, sprint, classics and threshold-focused programs, plus event-specific plans for Amyβs Gran Fondo, Masters Nationals and more
β
The latest nutrition and recovery strategies
β
Power data analysis and coaching insights
β
A large recipe database (from my days in the kitchen)
β
Access to a community of cyclists committed to getting better.
Over time Iβll be adding everything Iβve learned throughout my career, making this a valuable resource for anyone wanting to become the best cyclist they can be.
Whether your goal is winning Masters Nationals or simply rinsing your mates on the weekend, thereβs something here for you.
The link is in my bio.
Any questions just DM.

With making the jump up to the World Tour, itβs a nice time to reflect on the 7 athletes that have made the jump up to the highest level πππ
All have their own amazing story and Iβm very very proud of each of them π
Thereβs still a few back in Aus that are knocking on the door πͺ
If youβre interested in what we do, link to the website is in the bio.

What does it take to win a sprint stage at the Giro ?
Flat sprint stages of Grand Tours are often pretty easy on paper, i remember seeing Lucas Hamilton average ~100bpm on a stage of the Giro a few years ago. Its obviously not easy at all to win these stages and the finals are chaotic and not for the faint hearted. Purely based on power demands though most cyclists who race at A grade club level would at least make time cut.
Giro Stage 3
Distance - 180km
Duration - 4:20
Average speed - 41.7kmh
Energy - 642Kj/ hour
Power - 179Wave, 236Wnp
10sec - 1220W, 20sec - 1151W, 30sec - 1016W, 60sec - 768W

Every year I get roped into a stupid ride like this π¬
Distance- 250km
Ride time - 9:50
Power - 238W
KJ - 8000
HR Ave - 138bpm
Itβs nice to be able to do things like this off basically 90min rides each day, thanks to and for the tow π

I was lucky enough to work with Davo for over 10 years and the lessons I learnt from him are largely the reason for the continued success of the athletes I coach.
Reflecting on the interview we recently did with him on the I put wrote down some of the biggest lessons I learnt.
- what qualities are required to be an elite cyclist.
- importance of training the specifics
- stay ahead of the curve
- coach the person, not the athlete.
If you havenβt listened yet, I think itβs one of the best weβve done β
